Did you know we are a pediatric integrative wellness center?

What does that even mean??

It means we offer many services to care for children to stay well and be well from an integrative medicine model.

These services include the normal pediatric primary care appointments - well and unwell stuff - all the way to special services and wellness therapies - IV infusions and red light therapies!

The primary care services are our most commonly scheduled pediatric appointments.

Here is a list of those appointment types and why you may schedule which appointment for your child!

What we encounter almost every day in pediatrics:

Our system often wants to name the problem, assign a diagnosis, and move on.

But the healing does not stop at the label.

A diagnosis may explain what we’re seeing—but we still have to ask why.

What is happening in this child’s body, environment, development, nutrition, sleep, and emotional world?

Children are more than a diagnosis on a chart.

The label may be part of the story—but it should never be the end of it.

We are thrilled to welcome Alison to our incredible team of providers at Be Well Collective. She will begin seeing patients today!

Alison is a board-certified physician assistant with seven years of experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients. She has a specialized background in allergy, asthma, and immunology. Alison has a passion for working with children and helping families support their child’s health through a whole-child, integrative approach.

Her allergy background provides expertise in food allergies, eczema, asthma, and other common pediatric conditions. She is passionate about individualized care that looks beyond symptoms to support a child’s overall health and well-being.

Alison earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, daughter, and their golden doodle. After seven years in Arizona, she is excited to be back in Iowa and closer to family and friends!

We are committed to pouring into our providers—expanding knowledge, growing clinical understanding, and seeking innovative, evidence-informed ways to support children’s health.

The MAPS conferences each spring and fall provide an incredible opportunity to learn alongside the brightest and most passionate minds in pediatric medicine.
