For 43 years, Jerry has helped support the safe, high-quality care our patients count on. He is retiring in June after more than four decades of service to our hospital. Since joining our hospital family in November of 1983, he has served in housekeeping, the OR as a patient care assistant, and since 1999, in sterile processing.
While patients may never see the work happening behind the scenes, Jerry's department plays an important role in every surgery. In sterile processing, surgical trays are washed, assembled, sterilized, wrapped and prepared for the procedures our patients need. Jerry’s steady commitment, attention to detail and years of experience have helped support our surgical teams and the care they provide each day.
When asked what kept him here for so many years, Jerry said it has been the people. "They just like my family," he says.
Jerry’s career reflects the dedication and teamwork that help make excellent care possible. We are grateful for the impact he has made on our hospital, our colleagues and the community we serve. Please join us in thanking Jerry for his 43 years of service and wishing him the very best in retirement.
