Say hello to Riley Blackston, LPTA. 🌟 Riley is a passionate and motivating Physical Therapist Assistant who has spent the last three years delivering exceptional patient care with Encore Rehabilitation. A local graduate of Straughn High School, Riley went on to complete her training through the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (LBWCC). Driven by a deep desire to help people when they are at their lowest, Riley entered the therapy field to help patients get back to doing what they love while building genuine, long-term relationships along the way.

Riley's clinical focus spans both orthopedic and neurological conditions, helping individuals recover from major surgeries, acute injuries, and mobility challenges. Patients walking into their first session with Riley can expect a clinician who is fully invested in their success and ready to push them to reach their maximum potential. Known for her lighthearted but effective therapeutic philosophy—lovingly summarized as "But did you die?"—she combines tough love with deep compassion. For Riley, the ultimate reward of her career is witnessing her patients successfully regain their independence and confidence.

Outside of the clinic, Riley loves staying active outdoors in the Opp area, whether she is hunting, fishing, or traveling to explore new destinations. She treasures her time spent with friends and family, including her husband of three years, Caleb, their three dogs (Jovi, Roxy, and Ash), and they are currently sharing the exciting joy of expecting their first child!

Say hello to Hope Hicks, LPTA. 🌟 Hope is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant who brings a wealth of diverse clinical experience to our team. Hope’s journey in healthcare began right here in the community as a clinical student at Andalusia Health. Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic and clinical excellence, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wallace Community College before transitioning into her professional role as a therapist.

During her time working in the hospital setting, Hope built a versatile clinical foundation by gaining extensive experience in pediatric care and outpatient rehabilitation. Driven by a passion to provide the most comprehensive care possible, she has developed special clinical interests in sports medicine and women’s health. Hope is actively continuing her advanced education and training in these areas to bring the latest evidence-based techniques to her patients.

Outside of the clinic, Hope focuses her time and energy on her family. She and her husband, Eric, are the proud parents of three children, and they love staying active and involved in the local community together.

Say hello to Sarah Beth Grimes, our Patient Coordinator! 🌟

She serves as the Patient Coordinator at our front desk, bringing a warm and welcoming presence to everyone who walks through our doors. Joining our team four months ago, Sara Beth made the transition from the veterinary medicine field to explore new horizons in human healthcare. She is currently working toward her Bachelor’s degree, balancing her studies with her passion for helping others.

For Sara Beth, the most rewarding part of her job is the opportunity to grow genuine relationships with our clients and support them throughout their care journey. She approaches daily life with a compassionate philosophy: never take things too seriously, embrace your youth, and remember that everyone is learning as they go. Outside of work, Sara Beth loves spending time with her friends, family, and her four beloved dogs: Winter, Obi, Lucy, and Carter.

Coach Williams has been working hard at our Andalusia – Encore clinic, bringing that same leadership and determination to Physical Therapy that he brings to the basketball court.

As the Head Coach for the Lurleen B. Wallace CC Saints Women’s Basketball team, Coach Williams knows exactly what it takes to push through challenges and lead by example. Whether he is drawing up plays or crushing his rehab sessions, his dedication to his team and his health shines through.💪

When he isn't on the sidelines or helping his players succeed, you can find Coach Williams enjoying his favorite hobbies: sports, relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and traveling. He is truly living the dream every day as a college basketball coach!

PATIENT OF THE MONTH SPOTLIGHT!

Join us in celebrating the incredible resilience and hard work of our Patient of the Month, Mr. Jake Parks! 👏

🛠️The Journey to Recovery
Mr. Parks faced a severe accident when a forklift fell and landed on his leg, breaking his femur and crushing his foot. After spending weeks in the ICU and additional weeks in the hospital, he was finally able to return home and begin his physical therapy journey with us.

💪 Making Incredible Progress
Mr. Parks has been working hard at our Andalusia – Encore Rehab clinic since December 2025. After starting his therapy at our Dothan location while hospitalized, he specifically requested to continue his care with the Andalusia team once he returned home.

📣 In Mr. Park's Own Words: "If it wasn't for Encore in Andalusia, I would not be where I am today in my progress. The staff is top notch. I wish I could list everyone on staff because they really go above and beyond."

"My name is Kelsey Griffin, and I am excited to join the Encore Andalusia team as a Physical Therapist! I have already had the privilege of meeting so many patients and have loved getting to treat and learn more about each of them.

"I recently graduated from The University of South Alabama in May where I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I am truly grateful to have attended such a great program with professors that helped equip me to be a confident and trustworthy clinician. Prior to attending graduate school, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Troy University.

"I married my husband, Caleb, in June of this year, and we enjoy making memories with each other and those around us. We continue to trust God with each aspect of our lives, and are grateful for this opportunity he has provided.
