Elimination of the seasonal time change is the right idea. Permanent daylight saving time is the wrong direction. Permanent standard time would more closely align our bodies' circadian rhythms with the light and dark cycles of sunrise and sunset, leading to improvement of health and well being. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine endorses permanent daylight saving time and opposes the current legislation.
