We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Peter Shiposh Jr., 84, of Eynon, who passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 13, surrounded by his loving family.

Peter proudly served his country in the United States Army and dedicated more than 50 years to the Eynon Sturges Fire Department. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be remembered for his generosity, willingness to help others, love of the outdoors, and devotion to his family.

Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 21, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup.

A proud United States Air Force veteran who honorably served for 20 years, including during the Vietnam War, Frank will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of fishing and the outdoors, and his faithful companion, Rosco.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service with Military Honors on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Pike Street, Archbald.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bud Ropoch, 85, of Eynon, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bud was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, former Archbald police officer, retired plumbing foreman at Clarks Summit State Hospital, and longtime member of the Eynon-Sturges Hose Company No. 3.

Family and friends are invited to a public viewing Sunday, May 31, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Rapoch-Semian Funeral Home, Archbald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 1, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Eynon.

We are saddened to share the passing of Joseph F. Belek, 88, of Eynon, who passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026.

A proud Marine, dedicated volunteer firefighter for over 50 years, and owner of Joe’s Garage, Joseph was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and kind heart. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the time he shared with his beloved wife, Sylvia, with whom he is now reunited.
