Tony Luther

Tony Lynn Luther, 71, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at his home.

A graveside service will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2026, at Eleazer Victory Church Cemetery with Pastor Craig Asbil officiating.

Tony was born on September 7, 1955, in Davidson County, the son of the late George Herbert Luther and Dorothy Sullivan Luther. Tony had a knack for hunting and fishing and always enjoyed old and vintage cars.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Elizabeth Lednum; daughter, Dixie Lynn Luther (Mark Glenn Jones); sons, Michael Shane Luther (Michelle), Jon Mark Luther; brother, Scotty Luther; grandchildren, Elijah Jones, Brandy Luther, Brittny Vaughn (Jermey), Adrienne Luther, Kalista Ann Jones; great grandchildren, Paisley Vaughn, Parker Vaughn; step-children, Jonathan Locklear; and step-grandchild, Lance Locklear.

The family will receive friends following the service at Eleazer Church Cemetery.

Donna Allen Lambeth

Donna Lynn Allen Lambeth, 66, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at her son's home in Summerfield.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Love of God Baptist Church, 5606 NC 109, Thomasville, NC 27360, where she attended, with Pastor Mike Orman officiating.

Donna was born on September 19, 1960, in Mocksville, NC, the daughter of the late Lloyd Allen and Louise Cranfill Allen. She was a graduate of Davie County High School. She was a retired vice president of Lambeth Dimension, Inc. Donna fiercely loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Clay Lambeth; brothers, L.G. Allen and Joseph Allen.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Lambeth and wife Miranda of Summerfield; sister, Carolyn Foster of Mocksville; brother, Dale Allen of Salisbury; grandchildren, Kaleb Lambeth, Eva Lambeth, and Jackson Lambeth.

Larry Coble

Larry Travis Coble, Sr., 72, of Asheboro, NC, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Cross Road Retirement Community, Memory Care in Asheboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro, NC, with Rev. John Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Asheboro.

Born on November 1, 1953, in Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Coble was the son of the late Travis O'Neal Coble and Edna Cox Coble. He had worked as an upholsterer at Klaussner Furniture and later as a meat cutter at both Food Lion and Walmart. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and fishing, and was very proud of wearing his ring for his perfect score of 300 in his other hobby, bowling. As a sports fan Mr. Coble was devoted to Duke.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie "Candy" Coble; son, Travis Coble; and daughter, Tina Pentedemos.

Survivors include his daughter, M***a Spurio (Richard) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; brother, Gerald Coble (Carol) of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Sean Spurio, Julian Pentedemos, Jake Pentedemos, Justin Pentedemos, Travis "Little Man" Coble; great grandchildren, River Pentedemos, Bailey Pentedemos, Gracie Pentedemos, Theodore Pentedemos; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Creason, Pam Chestnut; nieces and nephews, Rodney, April, Greg, Heather, Amy, Jeff, and Lisa.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Friday, at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service.

Brenda Cole

Brenda Faye Trotter Cole, 74, of Asheboro, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church, 4836 Robbins Circle, Asheboro, NC, with Rev. Brian Cole, Dr. Jody Harrison, and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cole was born on January 24, 1952, in Randolph County, NC, to the late John Austin “Buck” Trotter and Faye Hunt Trotter. She was a member of the last graduating class of Farmer High School. She spent many years working in the textile industry at Kaiser-Roth and Acme-McCrary, beginning her career in manufacturing and eventually advancing to an office position. Mrs. Cole was the longest-living member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended for more than 60 years. She was a quiet, loving, and devoted woman who was deeply respected and loved by all who knew her. Above all, she cherished her family and especially enjoyed watching and cheering on her children and grandchildren as they participated in sports. Her love, dedication, and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Harold Cole of the home; daughter, Sandra Leonard (Jason) of Asheboro; son, Brian Cole (Terry) of Asheboro, sisters, Janet Beasley (Ronnie) of Sophia, Judy Cook of Denton, Donna Key, "Red" Olson both of Asheboro; brothers, Larry Trotter (Jan), Ricky Trotter (Carla) both of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kaili Cole Potts (Trevor), Spencer Lee Cole, Lance Cole Leonard, Andrew Carter Leonard, Owen Christopher Leonard; great grandchildren, Eli Hudson Potts, and Greyson Lee Potts.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Sunday, at Bethel Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service.

Brenda Lineberry

Brenda Sue Brown Lineberry, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, October 30, 2026, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro, NC, with Rev. David Millikan and Rev. Gary Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Born on November 5, 1946, in Randolph Co., NC, Mrs. Lineberry was the daughter of the late Clyde Herbert and Eva Garner Brown. She was formerly employed with Southeastern Savings and Loan and later retired from Jordan Sheet Metal. Mrs. Lineberry was an active member of Asheboro Friends Meeting and helped manage the Friends Apartments. Brenda loved her Lord, her church, her family and her friends.

After retirement, she and her husband Fred Lineberry became avid bicycle riders and participated in many bike charity rides. They both were active with the Grays Chapel Lions Club and were instrumental in organizing the annual Tour de Lions bike ride for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lineberry was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lineberry, and her brother, Edward Brown.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Brooks of Asheboro, NC, and Mary Rich and husband Darrell of The Villages, FL; brother, John Brown and wife Bobbie, of Mooresville, NC, and their sons, Bronson Brown of Charlotte, NC, Dalton Brown and wife Morgan Myers Brown of Huntersville, NC; brother-in-law, Tony Lineberry and wife Michelle Parrish of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Logan Lineberry and fiancée, Kyle Degman of Cary, NC, Worth Lineberry of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service.

Claude Burdett Stoker

Claude Burdett Stoker, 79, of Asheboro, died Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 7, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1109 McDowell Road, Asheboro NC 27205, with Nathan Swensen officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.

Claude was born in Ontario, Oregon to Leslie and Annie Stoker. He spent his childhood traveling with his parents who were building missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This took them to Utah, Alabama, Georgia, Nevada, Hawaii and Australia. While in Hawaii, he played varsity football at Kahuku high school. He helped his father with clean-up jobs on their construction site at the Polynesian cultural center and temple visitor center. He loved surfing on the ocean with his friends and eating fresh picked pineapples.

At 16 years old, Claude and his parents moved to Australia to build chapels and mission homes. He learned to drive on the left side and started high school. From his dad he learned to lay brick, and carpenter work. He loved taking rides to the outback and continue his talent of surfing. He enjoyed serving with the missionaries and other builders. His faith in Jesus Christ continued to grown as he interacted with them.

He served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern California mission. This experience helped him continue to develop a lifelong love for missionary work and service.

Upon returning from his mission, he worked at LDS hospital and attended the University of Utah.

He met his wife, Karleen Smith and they were married in the Idaho Falls temple on June 6, 1970. They raised four children; Sharma, Carey, Tyra and Katelyn. Claude considered his greatest achievement to be his marriage and family.

Claude enjoyed a career in emergency medical services. He was among Utah’s first class of paramedics and served the community for more than three decades as a firefighter, paramedic, field supervisor, and helicopter crew chief.

He was blessed to be raised in a home where prayer was offered and faith in Jesus Christ was cherished. He was a life long servant in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held numerous leadership and teaching callings. He served as a temple ordinance worker in multiple temples.

He loved to travel and experience different cultures. He traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, all over Europe, Dominican Republic, and United States. He loved taking pictures of all the flowers in different locations.

A highlight of his life was to return to Australia with his wife as a full time missionary. He was able to reconnect with cherished friends and reminisce on memories of his teenage years.

Claude is survived by his wife, Karleen Stoker; children, Sharma Shumate (Rob), Carey Stoker (Chantel), Tyra Swensen (Nathan), Katelyn Rufty (Daniel); Sister, Ann Inman; grandchildren, Hailey Smith (Sam) and their children, Lily, Max and Annie, McKay Shumate (Abigail) and their children, Noah, Oliver and Winnie, Maddi, Cameron (Camilla), Emma (Dallin), Landon, Kale, Ellie, Max, Weston, Eden, and Clare.

The Family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:00 pm, at the church prior to the service
