At Mission Health, we show up for our patients, our communities and each other. 💙

This week, Mission Health team members put that commitment into action at MANNA FoodBank's annual Pack to Give Back event, helping pack nutritious food for neighbors across Western North Carolina experiencing food insecurity.

We're proud to partner with organizations like MANNA that are making a meaningful impact throughout our region. Thank you to our dedicated colleagues who volunteered their time and energy to help ensure more families have access to the food they need.

Because when our community needs support, we show up.

During Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, Mission Hospital joined our broader HCA Healthcare network in recognizing the first responders and EMS professionals – both in our communities and across our organization – who answer the call when patients need care most.

Each year, approximately 10 million patients receive care in HCA Healthcare emergency rooms and many of those patients rely on EMS professionals for safe, timely transport to our ERs, as well as critical care along the way.

We’re proud to honor these dedicated first responders and EMS teams. Thank you for showing up with skill, courage and compassion every hour of every day. We’re grateful for the life-saving care you provide and the steady support you bring to the patients and communities you serve.

On Clinical Trials Day, we recognize the clinical research professionals and physicians who help advance the future of patient care at Mission Health and across our broader HCA Healthcare network.

The HCA Healthcare Research Institute is the multispecialty clinical research arm of HCA Healthcare focused on advancing therapies for patients through its affiliated network of providers and care sites. Mission Hospital currently has more than 35 active clinical trials under the HCA Healthcare Research Institute, with 25 in cardiac subspecialties, encompassing all aspects of cardiovascular care — from surgical and interventional cardiology to electrophysiology and heart failure.

Thank you to all who make this meaningful work possible and help improve more lives through clinical research.

Do you know if you’re at risk for a ? The good news is that many stroke risk factors are manageable with routine checkups, care and healthy lifestyle choices. Knowing your numbers and talking with your doctor are important first steps.

As a part of our broader HCA Healthcare network of care, we are connected to 45 comprehensive stroke centers, including one at Mission Hospital, as certified by the Joint Commission. Caregivers across our network treat more than 60,000 stroke patients each year. Through the support of HCA Healthcare and the HCA Healthcare Foundation – in collaboration with the American Heart Association’s Getting to the Heart of Stroke™ initiative – we're helping to raise awareness about the connection between heart health and stroke and providing education and resources to our communities.

If you or someone you know suffers a stroke, call 911 immediately. Before you need emergency care, know where to find an ER near you: https://bit.ly/4dDM9uh

At Mission Hospital, we’re proud to celebrate Nurses Week and the nurses who advance patient care every day – here in our community and as part of HCA Healthcare's broader network of more than 100,000 nurses.

Every shift, these nurses show up for patients, their families and each other. Their talent, heart and dedication move nursing forward, making a meaningful impact.

To all the nurses who serve our patients, thank you for the comfort and hope you provide – and for your passion for patient care, which touches countless lives. It was an honor to spend this week celebrating YOU!
