Putting with purpose⛳ DLH was proud to sponsor the Project 2 Heal Putt for Pups event, supporting their mission to enhance the accessibility of service dogs for Veterans, children, and individuals with special needs or disabilities.

Project 2 Heal is the sole non-profit organization in the U.S. committed to breeding and nurturing top-tier Labrador Retrievers, which are gifted to carefully chosen service dog training institutions across the nation, helping reduce both the cost and time required to place highly trained service dogs with those who need them most.

Uncovering links between exposure to PFAS and harmful reproductive health impacts in adolescent girls🔎 DLH-supported research receives spotlight as the Endocrine Society Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism’s Featured Article this week💡

DLH epidemiologists Sheri Denslow and Samantha McNeley co-authored a paper that investigates perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), widely known as “forever chemicals,” and their effects on menstrual cycles and reproductive hormones in adolescents. PFAS are endocrine-disrupting chemicals that have been associated with adverse reproductive health outcomes in adult women, but little is known about their impact during adolescence, a sensitive developmental window.

Our researchers aim to bridge the gap of limited existing data in this research for adolescents, advancing our understanding of PFAS exposure and how it may impact reproductive health.

This event supports The Inn and its mission to provide housing, meals, educational programs, and family activities that tend to the heart, soul, and spirit.
