Getting to appointments shouldn't be the hardest part of getting care. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ’™

We're proud to partner with iTransport, LLC. Providing safe, non-emergency medical transportation throughout Georgia for families who need more than a ride.

What makes them different? Door-through-door service. Their team doesn't just drop off at the curb, they es**rt clients from their front door, into the vehicle, and all the way to check-in at their appointment.

โœ… Ambulatory assistance - help with stairs, curbs, and getting in/out safely
โœ… Wheelchair transportation - ADA-compliant vehicles for manual and electric chairs
โœ… Trips to doctor visits, dialysis, physical therapy, and more
For families juggling care from a distance, or just trying to keep a parent connected to the care they need, this is one less thing to coordinate alone.

๐Ÿ“ž Call iTransport: (404) 955-8415

That's what care management is about, building a team around your loved one, so no one is navigating this by themselves.

Best activities for a loved one with dementia โ€” that won't leave them frustrated by lunchtime. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’›

Not every activity is the right activity. The wrong one can bring on confusion or frustration fast. The right one? It can spark connection, purpose, and even a little joy.
Here's what actually works:

โœ… Simplify tasks - folding towels, stirring, setting the table
โœ… Keep gatherings small and familiar, not overwhelming
โœ… Use music and art - they reach places words can't
โœ… Offer two choices, not ten
โœ… Let go of "getting it right" - the goal is engagement, not perfection

And when it feels like too much? That's not a sign you're failing. That's a sign it's time for support. Our Care Managers help families navigate exactly this, the daily "am I doing this right" moments that add up.

๐Ÿ’ฌ What's one activity that's worked for your family? Share it below โ€” it might help someone else scrolling today.
๐Ÿ“Œ Save this for the next hard afternoon.

The call every adult child dreads: โ€œMom fell. She's in the ER.โ€

Your heart drops. Your mind starts racing through everything you don't know, what happened, what they're saying, what happens next.

But you don't have to be the expert. You just need one advocate to call. someone who already knows how to navigate the whole situation for you.

That's the difference our Care Managers make. ๐Ÿ’™

The best conversations with aging parents aren't formal interrogations. ๐Ÿ’ฌ
They're small, ongoing conversations, not one big, heavy sit-down.
Instead of waiting for a crisis to force the issue, try weaving these questions into everyday moments:

โœ… If there was an emergency, how would you want me to help?
โœ… Have you thought about what you'd want if staying at home became difficult?
โœ… Who should the doctor call if something happens?
โœ… Where do you keep important paperwork?
โœ… What matters most to you as you think about the years ahead?

You don't have to cover it all in one talk. Start with one question. Let it be a conversation, not a checklist.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Which of these have you already asked your loved one?
Drop a comment below, we'd love to hear how it went.

If I weren't afraid of hurting your feelings, I'd tell you these 3 things. ๐Ÿ‘‡

1. You're not actually managing it - you're surviving it.
You've been juggling doctor calls, medication questions, family group texts, and guilt, all while working, parenting, and living your own life. That's not caregiving. That's burnout wearing a cape. A geriatric care manager exists specifically so you don't have to hold all of this alone.

2. Waiting for a crisis is the most expensive plan you have.
Most families call us after a fall, a hospitalization, or a discharge they weren't prepared for. By then, the options are fewer, the decisions are faster, and the stress is at its worst. Researching a geriatric care manager now, before anything goes wrong, is one of the most practical things you can do for your family.

3. You don't actually know what you don't know.
The healthcare system, the care facilities, the community resources, the questions to ask the doctors, there is an entire world of elder care that most families never encounter until they're in the middle of it. A geriatric care manager has spent 30+ years learning exactly what you're just now trying to figure out. You wouldn't navigate a major legal situation without an attorney. This is no different.
You don't have to be in crisis to make a call. You just have to be honest with yourself that you could use some help.

We're here when you're ready. ๐Ÿ’š

When you first call us, one of the first things we do is show up with curiosity, care, and 20+ years of knowing what questions to ask.

Our comprehensive care assessment is where everything begins. We come to wherever your loved one is: at home, in a facility, in a hospital room and we take the full picture in. Not just their medical needs, but how they're thinking, how they're feeling, whether they're safe, whether they're lonely, whether their finances are creating stress they haven't told anyone about.

From there, we build a care plan that's actually built around them, not a template, not a general recommendation. A real plan for their real situation, with real goals.
And then we stay.
Because needs change. Health changes. Living situations change. Families change. Our care plans change with them. We reassess regularly, adjust when something isn't working, and coordinate every moving piece doctors, specialists, home health providers, service agencies, so your family isn't left trying to connect dots you were never given the full picture to connect.

Someone has to hold the whole story. That's us. ๐Ÿ’š

If your family is navigating a complex medical situation and feels like no one is looking at the full picture that's exactly the call we're here for.
