Each week our Growing Room learners are exploring new ways to communicate through sign language.

Our Infants–K2 classes are learning the sign for milk, while our K3–K4 classes are practicing the signs for high and low. Introducing simple signs helps children connect words, actions and meaning while building confidence in everyday communication.

Try these signs together at home and make communication part of your family’s daily routine.

Our first week of learning is ready to begin.

This week’s Growing Up on Our Block theme is Adventure Awaits: Learning Beyond Limits.

Children will explore:

Letter A
Number zero
Color purple
Concepts high and low
Spanish word cero

Our Infants–K2 classes will also be introduced to the sign for milk, while K3–K4 will practice the signs for high and low.

We are excited for a week filled with classroom routines, movement, creativity, discovery and meaningful learning experiences.

We are excited to begin the 2026–2027 school year with a calendar full of opportunities to explore, discover, grow and learn beyond limits.

Please remember that our centers will be closed tomorrow, Monday, August 3, for Professional Development Day.

Families are invited to Meet the Teacher and Open House tomorrow from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Come visit your child’s classroom, meet the teachers and get ready for a wonderful new school year.
