As we explore Apple Orchard Adventures, our little learners are practicing sign language right alongside their classroom lessons.

This week, our Infants–K2 friends are learning APPLE, while our K3–K4 learners are building their vocabulary with APPLE + MORE.

Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day is a fun reminder that the kitchen can be a wonderful place for children to practice important skills.

With age-appropriate supervision, helping prepare food can introduce early math through measuring and counting, strengthen fine-motor skills, encourage independence, build vocabulary, and create meaningful family connections.

This week’s Growing Up on Our Block theme is Apple Orchard Adventures!

Our learners will explore the letter G, the number six, the color red, and the concepts of more and less. Children will also practice the Spanish word seis, meaning six.

Our Infants–K2 classes will learn the sign for apple, while our K3–K4 classes will practice the signs for apple and more.

Apples give us so many opportunities for hands-on early learning — from counting and comparing to art, science, vocabulary, sensory exploration, and imaginative play.

We’re ready for a week full of red, discovery, and apple-inspired learning at Growing Room Auburn and Opelika.

This week’s Growing Up on Our Block theme is Grandparents Make Life Grand!

Our learners will celebrate family connections while exploring the letter F, the number five, the color gray, and the concepts of near and far. Children will also be introduced to the Spanish word cinco, meaning five.

Our Infants–K2 classes will practice the sign for happy, while K3–K4 will learn the signs for grandmother and grandfather.

Through stories, conversations, creative activities, movement, and meaningful classroom experiences, children will have opportunities to talk about the special people who help make their families unique.

We’re looking forward to a week filled with learning, connection, and lots of love for our grandparents and grandfriends.
