Nemaha County Hospital

Nemaha County Hospital Critical Access Hospital NCH has always offered the promise of "Quality Care... Every Time" and they have kept their word through generations.

Nemaha County Hospital (NCH) first opened its doors on Sunday, April 28, 1963, welcoming area residents and dignitaries not only into a new building filled with state-of-the-art technology, but into a new era of healthcare. Our Mission is to continuously advance healthcare in Nemaha County. We are pleased that our staff and area physicians support this goal on a daily basis.

Strong bones matter at every age. 🥛🦴

Bone density is important for everyone, but especially for women, who are at higher risk for bone loss over time. The good news? Healthy habits can help support your bones throughout life.

Your bones support you every day — take steps to support them, too.

Today, we’re spotlighting our Surgery Department — a small but mighty team dedicated to providing safe, compassionate surgical care for our patients, and community. 💙

Pictured from left to right:

Debbie Gardner, RN – OR Circulator
Today, we’re spotlighting our Surgery Department — a small but mighty team dedicated to providing safe, compassionate surgical care for our patients and community. 💙 surgeons, and patients.

Kamdyn Stanley, ST – Surgical and Sterile Service Tech
Kamdyn plays an important role in scrubbing surgical cases, supporting our surgeons, and helping maintain the high standards of our sterile processing operations.

Molly Schaardt, RN – Director of Surgical Services, OR Circulator
Molly oversees surgical operations, provides direct patient care, and helps ensure patients receive high-quality care every step of the way.

Jacob Lacy, ST – Surgical and Sterile Service Tech
Jacob assists during procedures, supports sterile services, and helps maintain a safe, prepared, and efficient operating room environment.

Laura Leech, RN – Pre-op, Recovery, and Post-op Care
Laura helps guide patients through each phase of their surgical experience, providing compassionate care, reassurance, and support from preparation through recovery.

We’d also like to recognize Stephanie Gerdes, RN, and Holly Herr, RN. While they are not technically part of the OR department, they play a vital role in pre-op, recovery, and post-op care for our surgical patients.

We are proud of this team, and grateful for the skill, heart, and commitment they bring to Nemaha County Hospital every day. Please join us in celebrating our Surgery Department! 👏
