The future of women’s healthcare in Central Texas is here! We are thrilled to announce that the new Ascension Seton Women’s Hospital will officially open its doors to serve our community on Monday. Thank you to our Women First donors and the community for making this huge achievement possible!

From the Emergency Department and advanced robotic surgery suites to our Level IV maternal care and Level III NICU staffed by Dell Children's neonatologists, this 326,000 sq. ft. facility is designed for women at every stage of life.

Tina’s car was completely crushed when a construction truck fell on top of it - trapping Tina inside for more than 6 hours.

That Tina survived is astounding. That she is now walking - and most recently, walking without the assistance of her walker - is nearly unbelievable.

Tina was running a routine errand when her life was changed forever.

As she was coming over a hill, Tina saw a construction truck coming toward her with only two wheels on the road. Even though she tried to swerve out of its way, the truck came down on top of her car - completely crushing it and pinning Tina inside.

For six hours, first responders battled steel and time to remove Tina from the car. Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas at Austin sent two trauma surgeons and two life flight helicopters into the field - an extremely rare occurrence that speaks to the severity of Tina’s situation.

We're pleased to share that Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas has been named by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of 518 hospitals nationwide with the lowest reported Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI) rates. This national recognition marks a significant milestone in the facility’s ongoing commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.

Through our partnership with Ascension Seton Foundation Food is the Best Medicine program and Farmshare Austin, we are helping postpartum mothers receive nourishing meals and groceries delivered right to their door during one of the most critical times for healing.

Participants report meaningful improvements across several key areas:
• 19% decrease in food insecurity
• 74% increase in fruit and vegetable consumption
• 29% decrease in positive postpartum depression screenings
