Congratulations to our Spotlight Employee, Katie Cook!

Katie has been with The Cedars for a little over five years. She started as a receptionist before moving into the Marketing Assistant role. A couple of years ago, she transitioned into her current position as Health Unit Coordinator/Onboarding Specialist.

Katie was nominated by a fellow team member for her help with one of our large events. She can be found helping others wherever she is needed. Whether she’s filling in at the front desk, serving in the dining room, or assisting the aides with resident care, Katie is always willing to lend a hand. Before joining The Cedars, she worked as an aide for many years, bringing valuable experience and compassion to her role.

Katie’s positive, can-do attitude makes a difference every day. We are blessed to have her on our team and are very thankful she is part of The Cedars family.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Classic Car Show at The Cedars of Austin!

As part of our 40th anniversary celebration, it was great to spend the afternoon with residents, families, community members, and car enthusiasts from across the region.

A special thank you to the River Rats Car Club and everyone else who brought out their incredible vehicles. We loved seeing the variety of classics, customs, and restored favorites on display.

Take us out to the ballpark! Cedars Memory Café enjoyed an afternoon reminiscing. We talked about growing up playing baseball with friends, the history of baseball, baseball trivia, baseball bingo, singing and a snack of crackerjacks.
