FAQ Monday: Does my child need to already speak English or Spanish before enrolling?

The answer is no!

At Angels Care & Learning Center, we welcome every child exactly as they are. Whether your child speaks only English, only Spanish, both, or is just beginning to communicate, we meet them where they are and support their growth every step of the way.

In our bilingual classrooms, we intentionally incorporate both English and Spanish throughout the day through:
📚 Stories and literacy activities
🎵 Songs and music
🎨 Hands-on learning
🗣️ Everyday conversations
🤝 Play and meaningful interactions

We don't expect children to be bilingual when they enroll. Instead, we create a nurturing environment where children develop confidence in both languages over time while growing academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Texas Rising Star 4-Star learning center using the Frog Street Curriculum, we're proud to provide a high-quality bilingual education that helps prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

🌱 We're incredibly honored to be featured by the City of Austin for our sustainability efforts at Angels Care & Learning Center!

As the City of Austin shared in its article, our student Caleb summed it up best:

💚 "My favorite part of the garden is the trees, and I like to play in the garden because I like nature."

Hearing our children develop a love and appreciation for nature is exactly why this project means so much to us.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bright Green Future Grants Project for believing in our vision and selecting our project to receive a grant. Your support has helped us create a greener, more engaging learning environment where children can learn through exploration and connect with the natural world.

Thank you as well to the City of Austin's Office of Climate Action for featuring our story and for supporting initiatives that make a lasting difference in our community.

And a very special thank you to our contractor, Jhonatan Nieto, whose creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication brought this project to life. He took our initial ideas and transformed them into the outdoor classroom we had always envisioned—creating a beautiful, engaging space that has already become a favorite place for our children to learn, explore, and grow. We are incredibly grateful for the care, passion, and attention to detail he brought to every step of this project.

Together, we're growing not only gardens—but curiosity, stewardship, and a lifelong love of nature. 🌳

🇺🇸❤️ Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Angels Care & Learning Center! ❤️🇺🇸

This Saturday, we celebrate the values of freedom, community, and togetherness while enjoying time with family and friends.

As a reminder, our centers will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. We hope everyone has a fun, safe, and relaxing holiday weekend filled with special memories.

❤️ When one member of our Angels Care family is hurting, we come together.

Several members of our teaching team have immediate family members who have been affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. While they continue to care for our children every day, many are also doing everything they can to support their loved ones from afar.

We have created a GoFundMe to help our teachers provide emergency assistance to their families. 100% of the funds raised will be distributed directly to the affected employees so they can send support where it's needed most.

Our campers had an amazing time celebrating Mexican culture with colorful decorations, festive music, delicious treats, and lots of smiles! 💃🪅🌵

From fun activities to making unforgettable memories, today was all about learning, laughter, and celebrating together. ❤️

🖤❤️💚 In observance of Juneteenth, Anfels Care will be closed on Friday, June 19th.

Today we honor and celebrate Juneteenth—a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of Black Americans throughout history.

Our office will resume normal business hours on Monday. If you have an urgent matter, please leave a message and we will respond as soon as possible upon our return.

Last Friday, we celebrated a very special milestone at Angels Care – Maufrais: our Pre-K4 graduation! 💙
Our hearts are full as we look back on the growth, laughter, learning, and beautiful memories these children shared with us this year. It is bittersweet to see them take their next big step, but we are so proud of each one of them and excited for all that is ahead.
Congratulations to our Pre-K4 Class of 2026! 🎉 Thank you, families, for allowing us to be part of your children’s journey. We will always be cheering them on. 🌟
