Pastors, we see the heavy load you carry.
You’re often the first person someone turns to when life feels overwhelming, offering Scripture, prayer, and faithful presence.
We also know that there may be times when extra support is needed. There may be times when someone could benefit from help from a qualified Christian counselor or licensed therapist.
Signs that professional help may be needed include:
Thoughts of harm to self or others.
Severe, persistent depression or anxiety that isn’t lifting.
Trauma, abuse, or grief that keeps someone stuck.
Patterns that significantly impair daily life or relationships.
No meaningful progress after several weeks of pastoral care.
Just as you’d encourage someone to see a doctor for a physical illness, connecting them with trained mental health support can be a powerful way to care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
We’re here as partners, not replacements. As a Christian counseling center, we would love to collaborate with you, so your congregation member receives excellent care while you continue providing spiritual shepherding.
If you’re sensing a need to refer, please reach out. You don’t have to do this alone. Your people are blessed to have a pastor who cares enough to get them the right help at the right time.
