Sound Mind Psychology Sound Mind Psychology provides psychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Amy Brown is the clinical director of Sound Mind Psychology.

She is both a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP). After working in public school systems for almost 20 years, Dr. Brown made the change to private practice! Still passionate about comprehensive evaluations that produce answers and practical action steps, this is her focus at Sound Mind. Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin

in 1999, specializing in School Psychology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University. This makes her both a Longhorn and an Aggie! As a Licensed Psychologist in Texas, Dr. Brown participated in a supervised internship, postdoctoral supervision, and passed oral and written examinations on professional practice and ethics. Keeping in touch with school-based practices, she also holds a License as a Specialist in School Psychology. Because her practice intersects People, Education, and Science, Dr. Brown knew it was the perfect career choice. She believes that education and relationships are two of the most powerful forces that change lives. Spirituality gives Dr. Brown personal and professional guidance. 2 Timothy 1:7 assures us – “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
