And that's a wrap...last week we celebrated Christmas in July at Sacred Heart Village for the first time. Santa made an appearance as Bob and Marty played all our favorite Christmas songs. We played games and enjoyed some sweet treats. Our amazing kitchen made us the melting snowman and Nicole Summers made cookies for us! Thank you to everyone who made this an absolute success!

Our new sensory instrument, CRDLE (pronounced "cradle"), is designed to foster meaningful connections through the power of touch—something many older adults, particularly those in long-term care, may experience less often. Using the body's natural moisture, it responds to different types of contact by creating a variety of sounds, from a cat's purr to the ringing of bells. Thanks to a generous gift from Ascension Living, every memory care neighborhood now has a CRDLE. It has quickly become a favorite among residents and staff, encouraging engagement, bringing joy, and creating meaningful moments of connection through shared touch and interaction. We had a blast exploring all the different sounds and sharing lots of smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments together. CRDLE made it easy for everyone to connect, engage, and simply enjoy being together.
