What a fun-filled week at our community! 🎶🧀

We kicked off the week with a wonderful musical performance by Rich Conroy, who had residents singing along, tapping their toes, and enjoying every moment. Thank you, Rich, for sharing your talent with us!

Later in the week, we celebrated National Cheese Day with a delicious cheese tasting. Residents sampled a variety of cheeses and shared their favorites while enjoying great conversation and plenty of smiles.

🌟 Staff Spotlight 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Evalina Grys, our amazing Business Office Assistant! 🎉 Evalina has been part of the GSL family for 1 year, and she brings so much laughter, positivity, and energy to our days.

Her favorite part of the job is getting to chat with both staff and residents throughout the day. Whether she’s sharing a joke, pulling a harmless prank on a coworker, or making everyone laugh with her sense of humor, Evalina always keeps spirits high!

One of her favorite memories at GSL was dressing up as a nun for Halloween. The residents truly thought she was a sister from the church! 👻⛪

Outside of work, Evalina enjoys crafting, watching crime shows and horror movies, and spending time with her three children. And one thing everyone at work knows for sure… she always needs her coffee! ☕❤️

Thank you, Evalina, for all the joy and laughter you bring to GSL. We are so lucky to have you on our team! 💚

Today is National Senior Health Day! 💙

We asked our residents and staff what helps them stay healthy and loved hearing all of their thoughtful answers. From staying active to enjoying the outdoors and making healthy choices, everyone had their own special way of caring for themselves. ☀️🌿

It was so fun hearing their advice and capturing their smiles along the way!

Nothing beats a little fresh air and sunshine ☀️ Our residents enjoyed getting outside for a walk, soaking up the beautiful weather, and spending time together. Days like these bring so many smiles! 💚

✨ Staff Spotlight ✨

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Jessica Edwards. Around GSL, most people know her as “Jesie” (except her coworker Carol, who still gets away with calling her Jessica 😉).

Jesie has been a valued part of the GSL family for 6 years, bringing kindness, laughter, and dependable care to our residents every day. She loves helping residents with their daily needs, making them smile, and even being the cheerful face that helps wake them up each morning. During quieter moments, you can often find her braiding the ladies’ hair and spending extra quality time with the residents. 💜

Her go-to shift drinks? Coffee or a smoothie to keep her going! 🧋

Jesie says one of her favorite parts about working at GSL is the amazing coworkers she gets to laugh and share memories with every day. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, dancing singing, spending time with her son and dog, and watching Tim Burton movies! 🎬🐾

Her coworkers describe her as genuine, dependable, and hardworking.

Thank you, Jesie, for all the compassion, positivity, and joy you bring to GSL every single day. We appreciate you! 💚

Today we celebrate two incredible nurses who have dedicated their lives to caring for others 💚

Rachelle began her nursing journey in 1999, and Deb began hers in 1982. Together, that’s decades of compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment to their patients/residents.

Thank you both for your dedication, kindness, and the countless lives you’ve touched. Happy Nurses Day, Rachelle and Deb! 👩‍⚕️✨
