I’m excited to share three upcoming live, virtual continuing education events! These trainings are currently pending approval by LCA for LPCs/PLPCs and NASW-LA for LCSWs/LMSWs.
✨ 1. Trauma and the Therapeutic Process: Ethical Considerations in Trauma Treatment (1.5 Ethics CEs)
Trauma treatment often involves complex ethical decision-making that requires clinicians to balance client autonomy, safety, readiness, and effective care. This training explores ethical dilemmas that can arise in trauma treatment, including informed consent, pacing, treatment planning, professional competence, and minimizing retraumatization. Designed to be both practical and accessible, the workshop combines didactic instruction with applied clinical discussion.
✨ 2. Sustainable Practice: Self-Care as an Ethical Imperative in the Helping Professions (1.5 Ethics CEs)
As helping professionals, we dedicate ourselves to caring for others, yet the emotional and relational demands of this work can impact our well-being and professional functioning. This workshop explores self-care as an ethical responsibility, examining burnout, compassion fatigue, impairment, and sustainable practice. Participants will leave with practical strategies to support longevity, effectiveness, and wellness in clinical work.
💫 These two ethics trainings can be bundled together at a discounted rate. 💫
✨ 3. IFS Curious? An Introduction to Internal Family Systems for Clinicians (3.0 Diagnosis/Clinical CEs)
Curious about Internal Family Systems (IFS)? As a Level 1-trained IFS therapist, I will provide an introduction to the IFS model, including protectors, exiles, burdens, and the process of unblending from parts. Participants will explore symptoms and diagnoses through a compassionate, non-pathologizing lens while learning introductory IFS-informed interventions for clinical practice. This training includes both didactic and experiential learning to help participants develop both a conceptual and felt sense of the model.
I’m really looking forward to offering these trainings and connecting with fellow clinicians. See the comments for links to the FB events and registration.
