✨Our clinic will be hosting a Food Drive to support families right here in our local community.✨

We'll be collecting non-perishable food items in our lobby during business hours. Every can, box, and bag donated makes a meaningful difference for a family in need.

Our goal is to fill the donation bin (and then overflow it!) — and we know we can do it with YOUR help! 💙

🌟Another Testimonial on this Tuesday!🌟
“On September 24th, 2020, life changed in an instant. I was struck by a car as a pedestrian — the vehicle was traveling between 55–60 mph. I died twice before arriving at UAMS. I had a shattered hip, broken tibia, six breaks in my back, a broken neck, all my ribs were broken, and a large wound on my thigh.
In the weeks following, I faced some of the hardest challenges imaginable. It was during COVID, so none of my family could visit me. I don’t remember anything for three weeks after the accident. Before coming to Exceptional Physical Therapy, I did inpatient for 10 weeks and then had home health services for three months. I then went to another rehab where they prepared me for a wheelchair.
Being told I would never walk again was crushing. I was frustrated because someone had to do everything for me, and I wasn’t sure if that’s how my life would always be. It took a full year before I could even get a hip replacement.
When I started physical therapy, my goal was simple — to walk again. The turning point came when I finally found a therapist who was willing to actually work with me, someone who went above and beyond to give me hope.
From there, progress started to come — slowly, but surely. I’ll never forget the first time I could stand on my own, take my first steps in the harness, get up unassisted, walk with a walker, and eventually walk around my neighborhood without help. Another big milestone was when my therapist, Marla, trusted me to drive her car for the first time.
Through it all, my faith kept me strong. I’ve always believed that God could see me through anything, and I truly believe that he put Marla and her clinic in my path when I needed them most.
From my very first visit to my last, everyone in the clinic cared deeply about me and my family. Over 2.5 years (274 visits), they saw me through every setback and celebrated every victory. I felt like more than just a patient; I was a friend. I’ve gained so many friendships here, with both the staff and other patients.
I will forever be grateful for Exceptional Physical Therapy.”

🌟Testimonial Tuesday🌟
“In 2010, a car wreck changed everything. That morning of the wreck, I walked a mile and a half like I did every day. I thought that was the last time I would ever walk again. After years of surgeries, I faced the reality that amputation was next. We opened our store in 2011, and I was worried about returning to work. It was more than just returning to work. It was returning to life. A wound vac for a year, endless appointments, and so many what-ifs:
What if I am never able to walk again?
What if I can't participate in 'normal' activities?
What if I could never play with my grandchildren?
But those what-ifs never won.
Today, I’m running my store, traveling, and even enjoying the beach again. When I walked across that sand, I thought back to how Carrie had me doing obstacle courses in therapy that helped me train for this exact moment. I loved to swim before, and I now have a special swimming leg that allows me to continue enjoying swimming. I can even wear heels still! My amputation gave me the courage to try to do things that a 'normal' person would do!
Therapy has shown me that I have the strength to continue. Sure, some days are rough and sore and seem like they will never end, but at the end of the day, it was totally worth it. My independence is what I strive for every day.
To anyone who’s just starting physical therapy after major surgery or amputation: Be patient. Be brave. Some days will be better than others. It’s ok to not always be ok. You got this!
Injuries and amputations don’t define you. They show how strong you are. I'm a strong woman and proud of where I am. The life I had before my accident didn't end because of it; it just blossomed into more appreciation to what I can do.”
