💕 Berlin EMS Welcomes Baby Harper Mae! 💕

The Berlin EMS family would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Kaitlin and Hunter on the birth of their beautiful daughter, Harper Mae Sawicki! 🎀👶🏻

Harper made her arrival on August 4, 2026, weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz. and measuring 18 ¾ inches long. 💗

We are so excited to celebrate this wonderful new addition and wish Kaitlin, Hunter, and sweet Harper a lifetime of love, happiness, good health, and countless special memories together.

Last night at National Night Out was a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special. 💙🚑

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to visit the Berlin EMS team, meet our members, ask questions, explore the ambulance, and spend time with us. It was a great opportunity to connect with our neighbors, share what we do, and promote the importance of emergency medical services in our community.

Thank you to our dedicated Berlin EMS members who made the evening a success. Your commitment, professionalism, and willingness to serve both on and off the ambulance are what make this organization so special.

We also want to thank all of the event organizers, first responders, community organizations, and volunteers who helped make National Night Out such a memorable evening.

We are proud to serve the Borough of Berlin and Berlin Township and appreciate the continued support of our community. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

The Ben to the Shore Bike Tour on Sunday, July 26, 2026 is a charity bike ride that raises money to provide necessary financial relief to the families of fallen or critically injured first responders; to cultivate positive interactions and relationships between first responders and the communities they serve; and to provide mental and emotional wellbeing resources to first responders and their families. Berlin EMS has been proud to support the tour for the past number of years as EMS support for the riders. Today, we maintain coverage in town while assisting with the bike tour. We are incredibly proud to do this year after year.

Sometimes the most memorable calls are the ones that remind us just how quickly life can change.

Congratulations to EMT Anna Behnke and EMT Cyndi Oberle for their outstanding care during a recent childbirth call. When they arrived on scene, the baby had already been delivered with assistance from Berlin Borough Officer Hodson. They immediately assessed both mom and newborn, provided the necessary post-delivery care, safely clamped and cut the umbilical cord, kept the newborn warm, and ensured both patients were stable for transport.

Their calm demeanor, teamwork, and professionalism helped provide a smooth transition during one of life’s most extraordinary moments. We are proud of the compassionate care they provide to our community every day.

Congratulations to the happy family on their newest addition, and great work by EMT Behnke and EMT Oberle!

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from all of us at Berlin EMS! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the strength of our community, and the spirit of service that brings us together. As we gather with family and friends, enjoy parades, barbecues, and fireworks, we are reminded of the importance of looking out for one another and giving thanks for those who dedicate themselves to serving others.

This Fourth of July, we also take a moment to remember our friend, Frank. His friendship, support, and presence continue to be felt throughout our Berlin EMS family. We honor his memory today and carry his spirit with us as we continue to serve the community he cared so much about.

After 33 years of answering the call at Camden County Communications, our very own Captain Lou DeMarco is officially retired! They finally figured out they couldn’t afford all that experience anymore.

Don’t get too comfortable, Lou—we here at Berlin EMS aren’t letting you off that easy. Retirement just means you’ve traded one full-time job for a lifetime of us asking, “Hey Lou, can you help with this real quick?”

Congratulations on an incredible career! Enjoy retirement… or at least enjoy pretending you’re retired while we keep putting you to work. Wishing you nothing but good health, relaxation, and as few early morning phone calls as possible! 🚑

Berlin EMS was proud to participate in Field Day at BCS! Our crew had a great time hanging out with the students, teachers, and parents.

Field Day is always a wonderful event to connect with the community.

Thank you to the staff, students, and families of BCS for inviting us to be part of such a fun and memorable day. We are honored to serve our community and always appreciate opportunities to engage with the young people who make Berlin such a special place.

Today, members of Berlin EMS proudly attended numerous Memorial Day ceremonies throughout Berlin Township and Berlin Borough to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend , it is a time to remember and reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

We are honored to stand alongside our community, veterans, first responders, and local leaders in paying tribute to our fallen heroes. Thank you to everyone who participated in today’s ceremonies and helped keep the spirit of remembrance alive.
