Day 2-ALW- we traveled to Mexico. In the morning, we cannot thank Serenity Hospice Care LLC enough for providing bfast to our staff. Outstanding. Then, we enjoyed ‘Walking Tacos’ and Piñatas for our afternoon excursions. Three more amazing days to go. Oh what fun we had in our challenges!

Day 1- Assisted Living Week. We started with a homemade waffle breakfast for all. Next we had entertainment by Pete followed by staff challenges of Musical Chairs and Viral Tic-Toc Ping Pong. We did our absolute best to show our staff how much ‘We Appreciate You’ ❤️

We asked our residents: What’s your favorite way to give back to the community?💛

We loved hearing their answers and learning more about the causes and people that matter most to them.

At Spring Oak, giving back is built into our programming, creating opportunities for residents to support others and stay connected.

This summer, our residents have been busy doing just that through local give-back projects, donations, care packages, and acts of appreciation for others.

One year ago we were challenged to give back as a community. We have never stopped, and grow stronger every month. We have partnered with Mission Meals & More. To this date we have made 1600 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated 200 Emergency Blankets, 200 tubes of toothpaste and toothbrushes, 100 homemade scarves, hats and blankets made by Residents, and cases of water. Every month we donate a case of Potato Chips and Cookies- and countless bags of clothes and blankets. I am so proud of these folks. Even our Memory Care writes words of encouragement. All of these items go to the streets of Kensington, PA.
