Today we're honoring Mike on his 20-year Anniversary with Eye Surgeons Associates!

Mike began his ESA journey as Optical Director and was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in 2011, expanding his leadership to include Reception, the Call Center, Patient Accounts and our Managed Service Organization (MSO) department. His genuine care for patients, exceptional leadership skills, and attention to the countless details involved in running our administrative and optical departments have been instrumental to ESA's success.

Thank you, Mike, for two decades of outstanding teamwork, dedication, and commitment to our patients and practice!

As a sponsor the of the 35th Annual QC Summer Olympics, ESA attended the Performing Arts Program at Ridgecrest Village.
The talent included—a large group vocal, drama performances, poetry readings, soloists and a harmonica player. The Ridgecrest Rhythm Wranglers a Cardio Drum Group also performed and is pictured here. They had everyone energized with performances of "Lollipop" and "Wipeout" drumming on exercise balls. So fun!
The QC Summer Olympics are all about improving health, fitness, and quality of life for people 40 and older. And here's the thing—healthy eyes need good blood circulation and oxygen intake, both of which are boosted by regular exercise.

Today is National Senior Health & Fitness Day.
Did you know our eyes need good blood circulation and oxygen intake, and both are stimulated by regular exercise? According to AAO, “Regular exercise also helps keep our weight in the normal range, which reduces the risk of diabetes and of diabetic retinopathy. Remember to use sun safety and protective eyewear when enjoying outdoor sports and recreation. And get plenty of rest. As we sleep, our eyes enjoy continuous lubrication and during sleep the eyes clear out irritants such as dust, allergens, or smoke that may have accumulated during the day.” So, with your doctor’s permission, lace up those tennis shoes and get moving, then maybe a good nap… 😊
