Lakeshore Foundation is a fitness, recreation, sport, research and advocacy organization for people with physical disabilities located in Birmingham, AL. Lakeshore's Lima Foxtrot programs serve our nation's injured military.

The Lakeshore wheelchair tennis team made the trip to Clemson this weekend to compete in the 2026 Clemson Wheelchair Tennis Championships. The team had a very strong showing with Renato Jurado winning D Singles Consolation and Elizabeth Harris making it to the D Singles Championships! Curt Howell and Don Dodson also made it to the finals in D Doubles. Lakeshore’s team will start its new season in August and will compete in 3 tournaments this Fall. Reach out to Cliff Cook if you are interested in joining the team!

City of Birmingham Government has been developing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan and invites residents, businesses, community organizations and other interested stakeholders to attend a public meeting. Join them at Sloss Furnaces on Tuesday, July 28 from 3-5 p.m. to learn about the city's progress and provide feedback!
