The Lakeshore wheelchair tennis team made the trip to Clemson this weekend to compete in the 2026 Clemson Wheelchair Tennis Championships. The team had a very strong showing with Renato Jurado winning D Singles Consolation and Elizabeth Harris making it to the D Singles Championships! Curt Howell and Don Dodson also made it to the finals in D Doubles. Lakeshore’s team will start its new season in August and will compete in 3 tournaments this Fall. Reach out to Cliff Cook if you are interested in joining the team!

Congratulations to Lucy Comer on four great swims at the US Para Swim Jimi Flowers Classic in Colorado Springs this weekend! The venue presented Lucy with the opportunity to swim at a much higher altitude than normal, and we are so proud of her for taking on the challenge. Way to go, Lucy!

City of Birmingham Government has been developing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan and invites residents, businesses, community organizations and other interested stakeholders to attend a public meeting. Join them at Sloss Furnaces on Tuesday, July 28 from 3-5 p.m. to learn about the city's progress and provide feedback!
