95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

Today, Nate from the Detroit Zoo visited Assisted Living for an incredible lecture, “Pets to Protected.” Our residents loved learning, asking questions, and hearing all about the amazing world of animals. 🐢🦜

We had so much fun at our Tiki Party today! Our afternoon was filled with dancing, laughter, and lots of yummy tropical snacks. 💃🍍🥥

🏁🌎 And That’s a Wrap on Our Amazing Race! 🌎🏁

What an incredible week of traveling the world, friendly competition, laughter, and teamwork!
🏆 Memory Care took home the WIN! Our Memory Care residents brought their competitive spirit all week long and earned the top spot!
👏 A huge shoutout to our Culinary Department, who showed up and competed in more challenges than any other department! We loved seeing them jump in on the fun while also keeping us fueled with delicious country-inspired meals throughout the week.
🌟 And a very special recognition goes to Mary Jo, who showed up for EVERY SINGLE competition and activity this week! Her enthusiasm, dedication, and Amazing Race spirit deserve a celebration of their own!
From Greece to Scotland , Thailand , Australia , and England. What a week to remember! ❤️
