What do you do when you’re worried about someone, but they’re not ready for help?

You can still let them know you’re there. Listen without judgment. Keep the door open. And know where support is available if and when they’re ready to take that next step.

For International Overdose Awareness Day, we want our community to know that treatment for opioid use disorder is available close to home.

Northern Inyo Healthcare District offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) through the Rural Health Clinic. This confidential, evidence-based care combines medication with ongoing medical support to help people manage opioid use disorder and move toward recovery.

NIHD is also grateful to the local healthcare providers and community organizations offering MAT and other support throughout our region. Together, we’re helping make care more accessible for people and families in the Eastern Sierra.

To learn more about MAT through NIHD, call the Rural Health Clinic at 760-873-2849.
