We were thrilled to welcome our local fire department to our center for a very special hands-on visit. For our clients, learning about the world around them thrives on real-world connection, and today was the perfect example of that.

Our visitors went above and beyond to make the experience engaging and accessible for everyone. The kids had the chance to explore the fire engine, learn the basics of fire safety, and get comfortable seeing firefighters in their protective equipment. This kind of positive exposure is incredibly valuable for building confidence and safety awareness in a fun, interactive way.

A heartfelt thank you to the brave men and women of our local fire station for their dedication, kindness, and incredible support of our program. We’re already looking forward to the next visit! 💙

🚓💙 A huge THANK YOU to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Cass County Sheriff's Office for visiting our Blue Gems ABA clinic in West Omaha! 💙🚓

As part of our Community Helpers Week, Deputy Artzer, Deputy Dmyterko, and Deputy Larson gave our kiddos an amazing, hands-on experience exploring patrol vehicles, emergency lights, and sirens in a safe, supportive setting. 🚔✨

"These experiences help children with autism become more comfortable with emergency vehicles, loud noises, and law enforcement officers while building familiarity and trust."

Our families also took home valuable information about Project Lifesaver, an incredible program designed to provide an added layer of safety for individuals prone to wandering.

We are incredibly grateful to Deputy Artzer, Deputy Dmyterko, Deputy Larson, and both departments for taking the time to create such a fun, educational, and meaningful experience for our clients!
