On Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country—those who never made it home, but whose legacy lives on in the families, communities, and freedoms they helped protect.

In our profession, we are reminded that behind every name is a story… a life filled with moments, relationships, and meaning. Today, we hold space for those stories and for the families who carry them forward.

We remember the sacrifice.
We honor the legacy.
We will not forget. 🇺🇸

Robert William Marsh

Bob Marsh was born in Sheridan Montana on August 21, 1926, the third of three children.

Bob was born into agriculture, when he was young there were no tractors, all the farming was done with horses which he loved, especially his horse, Old Blue. Bob worked with his dad, later buying the ranch which he operated successfully for many years.

Bob married Beverly Odden, they had 3 children. Later Bob married Hazel Flynn creating a blended family which was blessed with many happy times. Bob and his son Jeff worked together on the ranch for many years. Bob is proof that being physically active and mentally engaged is beneficial. Life on the Marsh ranch was very straight-ahead agriculture. There was very little recreation but the family found great joy in working together. Beverly and Hazel were both great cooks, their round oak table was the site of many a happy meal.

Bob grew bountiful hay crops, he was a diligent flood irrigator, always getting at least his share of the water. In the 60s and 70's Bob built an admirable herd of Herford cattle. Bob always connected with people, finding new and old friends in any bar or grocery store. Bob was a great dancer and enjoyed Walkers Deluxe until they stopped making it, he had to switch to Makers Mark. Bob lived his life with passion and vitality. He passed at home on May 13, 2026.

Bob is survived by his son Jeff (Sarris), Daughters Janet (Brad), and Julie,7 grand children and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Glen and Maybelle, sisters Mildred and Marjorie and wives Beverly and Hazel.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a future date to be announced. Memorials can be made to Jackson's Garden.

When a child loses someone important to them, the world can suddenly feel confusing and uncertain. Children often experience grief differently than adults, and they may struggle to understand or express what they’re feeling.

During times like these, patience, reassurance, and open conversation can make a meaningful difference. Letting children ask questions, share memories, and talk about their emotions can help them begin to process the loss in their own way.
