SDCH is a unique organization providing specialty health care services for Utah & surrounding states.

The SDCH Campus serves individuals who require ongoing treatment or rehabilitation due to an unexpected accident, illness or serious medical condition. With the capacity to provide care for over 225 patients at any given time, the Hospital serves the specialty healthcare needs of over 1,000 individuals annually. The SDCH Campus offers long-term acute care, and long and short term specialty care services.

Humbled by this review:
"My husband was a resident at SDCH for close to a year. Throughout that time he was in and out of other medical facilities for more [acute] specialized care, but he always longed to return “home” to South Davis. This facility was a miracle for us throughout that year. In the beginning it was difficult for me to accept the reality of my husband’s declining health and our reality at that time. I wouldn’t say we were “old.” We were in our mid sixties.
The staff at South Davis were kind and supportive even when I’d lash out at them. They were so respectful to my husband and his needs and quirks when they learned what they were. They listened to my concerns throughout that year and worked to help me find solutions. Honestly, that facility and the employees there were my lifeline. They explained things they were doing and why. And if they didn’t and I asked, they always filled me in. With us, their goal was to accomplish our goal, whatever it was at the moment-because it changed. They were versatile and worked hard to satisfy our requests.
It is not easy to have a loved one in a skilled nursing facility where I couldn’t just take care of my husband. But they included me and allowed me to do what I could and stepped in when I was unable to help the way that was needed. They became our extended family. We were not Utah residents so being away from home mostly was not easy, but the staff at South Davis Community Hospital helped make our lives not only tolerable but also enjoyable many times. Upon reflection, I can see why my husband called SDCH home. He felt comfortable and cared for there.
I give them 5 stars because I would readily refer anyone to them. I do appreciate all they did for us!

It's National Boss's Day!

A day to recognize the hardworking boss overseeing the workplace, and show appreciation to our supervisors. Our leaders oversee departments of all sizes with a lot of employees or just a few and oftentimes help guide their careers, too.
Everyone has a boss of some kind. If your boss is the owner, they still answer to the taxman, the customers, and their merchants. We are fortunate to have leaders that know how to put their best employees forward and lead with the confidence that we can look up to.
