We're proud to share a heartwarming story from our Compassus hospice team in Moline, IL, who went above and beyond to fulfill our patient's wish.

For a 65-year-old man facing limited mobility, attending his father-in-law’s 90th birthday was a seemingly impossible dream. Through the dedication and collaboration of our team and community partner Prairieland Hospice Foundation, his dream became a once-in-a-lifetime memory for him and his family.

Compassus hospice patient Marilyn Kutzli of Davenport, IA, recently celebrated her 103rd birthday, marking more than a century filled with love, resilience and adventure.

During her birthday party, Marilyn shared stories from her life: eloping with her husband, raising four sons, working as a teacher and boys' basketball coach, and even discovering a dinosaur fossil. Marilyn’s wisdom leaves a lasting impact, including her reminder, “You can’t be happy without being content.”
