Our very own Annie Frazier and Laura Powell were speakers at this year's LeadingAge National Conference sharing how resident leadership and community partnerships are making a huge difference beyond our campus.

Over the years, our Assisted Living Clinical Coordinator Ryan has taken residents to countless sporting events, but his latest idea might just be one of the most exciting yet—a (rainy) trip to see the Washington Commanders play!

Another innovative experience made possible through donor support, this adventure gave residents the opportunity to experience the excitement of NFL football in person.

Because some of the best memories are made when we try something new. 🙌🏈

🌿🍝 Pesto Festo, anyone?!

Friday's dinner came straight from the Good Roots Garden! Farm Manager Price harvested an impressive 35 pounds of fresh basil, which our dining team turned into three delicious pesto dishes—gluten-free, vegetarian, and chicken!

More than 20 residents gathered in the garden to enjoy the meal, good company, and the fruits of our labor. From garden to table, it doesn't get much fresher than that! 🌱

Farm to School Week was a great reminder that learning where our food comes from can be just as exciting as tasting it!

Our Farm Manager, Price, helps lead this initiative for Harrisonburg City Public Schools alongside community partners, and we loved seeing our team get involved this year!

Carrie Budd shared her horticultural therapy expertise through activities about pollinators, while our farm intern visited two elementary schools for apple tastings, giving students the chance to sample different varieties and vote for their favorites!

We're proud to be part of an initiative connecting local food, education, and the next generation of curious minds! 🌱🍽️🐝🍏

A little art, a lot of heart! 🎨💚

What started as an idea to brighten the walls of our Mack Room turned into a journey across Virginia, as residents and team members searched for original artwork that would bring familiar places, meaningful stories, and a little more color into our community.

Made possible through a donor-supported innovation grant, the collection is about so much more than what's hanging on the walls. Read our latest blog post to see how it all came together!

Get out there and support!

Come in October 13th from 5pm - 8pm to create memories and help make them last, by donating to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s through the BRC energizer team. A percentage of sales will be donated to this great cause during this time, so bring your family and friends in to paint!

Active Aging Week is all about celebrating the many ways we embrace Energy for Life here at BRC! 💚🧡🩷

This year's theme was "Move Your Way," and we certainly did just that with our flash mob! 💃
