Flares under control. Pain isn't. That's the reality for nearly half of people with IBD, even in remission. For years, there's been no real answer for why, or how to treat it.
Now, researchers backed by Foundation funding are chasing down the science behind chronic pain in IBD — and the treatments that could finally target it.

Our new partnership article with explores the research behind why pain persists in IBD, and the studies working to solve it.

Featuring insights from: 🔹 Andrés Hurtado-Lorenzo, PhD, Senior Vice President, Translational Research & IBD Ventures, 🔹 Alan Moss, MD, Chief Scientific Officer🔹 Orna Ehrlich, MPH, Chief of Staff & Impact,

Endoscopies are vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of inflammatory bowel diseases, including distinguishing Crohn’s disease from ulcerative colitis. This webinar features Dr. Shannon Chang from NYU Langone's Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center reviewing the various types of endoscopies, how they help people with IBD mitigate complications and achieve remission goals, and what to expect during procedures.

The Endoscopy Initiative is generously supported, in part, by Intuitive Surgical and Medtronic.

Nearly 100 Foundation volunteers and staff traveled from across the country to Washington, D.C. to stand up for the 1 in 100 Americans living with IBD. 💙

Yesterday, our team met with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill to advocate for three critical asks:

🔹 Pass the Safe Step Act — reining in insurance-mandated step therapy so patients aren’t forced to fail on the wrong medication first
🔹 Protect federal IBD research funding
🔹 Improve access to pediatric IBD treatments
We left the Hill energized and empowered, knowing our voices were heard. Thank you to every volunteer who showed up to share their story.

This is what advocacy looks like. 📣
