Sometimes, kids don’t have the words to explain what they’re thinking or feeling—but through play, they can show us. 🧸💛

Play therapy gives children a safe, supportive space to express themselves, process emotions and experiences, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills.

Take a peek inside our play therapy rooms and see where play, connection, and healing can happen!

🍎 Helping Kids Transition from Summer to Back-to-School 🍏

The shift from lazy summer days to early mornings, homework, and new routines can bring a mix of excitement, worry, and uncertainty for children. As parents, there are simple ways you can help make the transition a little smoother.

Here are a few ideas:
1. Ease back into routines. Start adjusting bedtime and wake-up times several days before school begins.
2. Talk about their feelings. Whether they’re excited, nervous, or somewhere in between, remind them that all of their emotions are okay.
3. Pray together. Ask God to give your child peace, courage, wisdom, and confidence as they begin a new school year.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

If your child is struggling with anxiety, school-related stress, or emotional challenges, our counselors are here to provide support rooted in both clinical excellence and biblical truth.

We’re praying for a school year filled with growth, confidence, meaningful friendships, and God’s faithful presence for every student, teacher, and family.

Self-care doesn’t have to be a weekend getaway or an elaborate routine. 💚

Sometimes it’s as simple as getting outside, spending time with your dog, enjoying your favorite coffee, or treating yourself to ice cream.

The little moments matter, and making space for them can help you recharge.

✨ We’d love to hear from you! What’s one simple thing you do for self-care? Share it in the comments so we can all get new ideas.

Happy Independence Day from A&M Christian Counseling Center!

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and give thanks for the men and women who have courageously served and sacrificed to protect them.

No matter where you find yourself today, we pray you are reminded that God’s presence is constant, His peace is available, and His hope never fails.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” — Galatians 5:1

From all of us at A&M Christian Counseling Center, we wish you a safe, joyful, and blessed Independence Day.
