Today, Creative Restorations INC pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, families, survivors, and communities forever changed by that day.

We remember the courage shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy. We remember the service, sacrifice, compassion, and unity that followed. And we carry those lessons forward by continuing to show up for one another when it matters most.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

💜 SHE NEVER THOUGHT SHE WOULD LIVE TO SEE 30.

On her 33rd birthday, Amanda stood before Erie County and showed us what another chance can become.

Amanda began using substances at just 15 years old. She spent years believing addiction would claim her life before she ever reached 30. At Erie County’s Overdose Awareness Day event, she courageously stood before the community and shared her truth:

“Narcan didn’t require me to be ready for recovery. It simply gave me another chance to wake up.”

That chance became another day. Then recovery. Then purpose.

This is what harm reduction looks like after the headlines fade: Narcan keeps someone here. Peer support, compassion, and resources help them build what comes next.

Today, Amanda is a Screener/Navigator with Creative Restorations INC, using everything she survived to help others connect with Health Related Social Needs under the Medicaid 1115 Waiver, such as: food, housing, transportation, peer support, safety, treatment, mental-health care, and hope.

Amanda also reminded us:

“It’s hard to tell someone to get clean when they’re hungry, homeless, unsafe, or cold.”

That is why Creative Restorations INC meets people exactly where they are—without shame, judgment, or giving up on them. It is why we are proudly BY PEERS, FOR PEERS.

Because Foundations are First.

Overdose awareness cannot only be about remembering people after they are gone. It must also be about fighting to keep people here while we still have the chance.

We could not be prouder of Amanda. Her courage, honesty, and willingness to transform survival into service represent the very heart of our mission.

Behind every overdose statistic is somebody’s child, somebody’s parent, somebody’s sibling, somebody’s best friend—somebody’s somebody.

Amanda is somebody.
Every person still struggling is somebody.
And every one of them is worth saving.
