We’re rounding out World Breastfeeding Month by having some fun with our Lactation Counselors! Our CLC’s have seen (and lived) it all!
Not only are they skilled Registered Nurses with expert training, but they’re also moms who’ve navigated the breastfeeding journey firsthand. They get the exhausting challenges, the middle of the night doubts, and the joys when it all comes together.

Whether you need a full feeding assessment and plan, or just a little reassurance from someone who’s been in your shoes, our lactation counselors are here to support you.

Get pulled over for...being awesome!

Our local law enforcement officers & deputies are making sure safety pays off.
Kids riding bikes, scooters, and skateboards safely & with their helmets on may get stopped and "ticketed" with a free cookie coupon from Cookies & Kisses Bakery.

Thank you to Buffalo Police Department - Wyoming, Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Cookies & Kisses Bakery, for making safety sweet!

Every second counts during a cardiac emergency, and the old courthouse is now better prepared to protect our community.

A brand-new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been officially installed inside the historic courthouse. A huge thank you to the LOR Foundation for generously funding this critical equipment and investing in the health and safety of our town!

Do you have an idea of how to improve a piece of our community? Reach out to Jen at mailto:[email protected] to share your idea & make Buffalo an even better place to live!

School's back in!

A head's up for those commuting to work this week...all JCSD #1 students are back to school starting August 18th.
This means walkers, bikes, scooters, buses making sudden stops, and an overall more congested roadway in the mornings and afternoons.

Drivers: Remember to leave for work a few minutes early in the morning so you don't have a rushed commute.

Pedestrians & bike/scooter kids: Pay attention to the road, follow traffic signals, put your headphones and/or phone away.

Breast milk, no matter the quantity, is a living liquid. It changes composition continuously to meet the needs of the infant. Illnesses, growth spurts, and even the time of day, have an effect on what components are in breast milk.

Remember, even a teaspoon size amount can make a big difference for baby's health.
