When Jon first came to Intermountain Health's Weight Loss Clinic, he had one important goal: lose enough weight to qualify for a hernia repair surgery.

Join us in celebrating Alejandra Hawkes, Anita Del Toro, Megin Martin, Rubi Tellez, and Jenica Najara for completing their year-long Nurse Residency Program! The Nurse Residency Program is a program that bridges new graduate nurses that are transitioning into nursing for the first year of work at Intermountain Health. Throughout the program, they gained valuable skills to navigate the challenges of nursing while also completing participation in simulation, webinars, and case studies.

For nearly 7 years, Yessenia Segoviano has been a valued and trusted member of the Med/Surg/ICU team at Cassia Regional Hospital. She is known for being reliable, kind, hardworking, and always bringing a smile—along with just the right touch of humor—to every shift.

Yessenia consistently provides extraordinary care to her patients, demonstrating excellence through strong critical thinking, compassion, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. She treats every patient with dignity and respect, making sure they feel heard, valued, and cared for during every step of their journey. Her calm, cheerful presence and reassuring smile bring comfort to patients and families during vulnerable moments—and lift the spirits of her coworkers, too.

In addition to being an excellent bedside nurse, Yessenia is an exceptional charge nurse and leader. She is always willing to step in to support her team, offering guidance, education, and encouragement to help others grow and succeed. Yessenia confidently uses her voice to advocate for both patients and coworkers, fostering a culture of teamwork, trust, and excellence within the unit.
