From cute, to spooky, to whimsical, the annual Pumpkin Walk at our M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center had something for everyone. Recreation Therapy held the walk indoors due to chilly evening weather and invited residents to vote for their three favorites. The next morning, the pumpkins were moved to decorate the outside of the facility. Thank you to the staff members, RIT Global Public Health students, and Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES New Vision Medical students who devoted their time and talents to bringing smiles to our residents’ faces!

If you visited one of our locations Friday and noticed a perfectly pleasing preponderance of pink, there was an excellent reason – many of our staff showed their support for breast health and breast cancer survivors by taking part in University of Rochester Medicine Breast Imaging’s systemwide Wear Pink Day. As we near the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please know our staff is here for you when it comes to breast health, including preventative screenings and more. University of Rochester Medicine Thompson Health is growing! We’re bringing primary care and urgent care together under one roof at 20 North Main Street in Honeoye Falls. The new 10,000-square-foot building will offer:
• Urgent care seven days a week for walk-in, non-emergency needs, with X-ray on site
• Primary care, including annual exams, school physicals, sick visits, lab draws for any University of Rochester Medicine orders, immunizations, and help managing chronic conditions
Thank you to Mayor Rick Milne and the Village of Honeoye Falls, as well as to the residents who shared their questions, ideas, and patience throughout the planning process. We're also grateful to our development partners – Rozzi Architects, Pike Construction, and The Cabot Group – for helping make this possible.
We look forward to caring for our neighbors in Honeoye Falls and the surrounding communities, beginning in the fall of 2027. Watch for updates as the project moves forward!
