February is American Heart Month ❤️

Heart disease is a leading cause of death in the United States. The good news is that many heart problems can be prevented with small, healthy choices.

EASY WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR HEART
• Eat healthy foods: Choose fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean meats. Limit salt, sugar, and fried foods.
• Move your body: Aim for at least 30 minutes of activity a day. Walking, dancing, or playing all count.
• Don’t smoke or v**e: Smoking and va**ng damage your heart and blood vessels.
• Know your numbers: Keep track of your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
• Get enough sleep: Try to sleep 7–9 hours each night.
• Manage stress: Take breaks, breathe deeply, or talk with someone you trust.

WARNING SIGNS OF A HEART ATTACK
Call 911 right away if you or someone else has:
• Chest pain or pressure
• Pain in the arm, back, neck, or jaw
• Shortness of breath
• Nausea, dizziness, or cold sweats

SMALL CHANGES MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!

You don’t have to change everything at once. Even one healthy habit can help your heart.
