It was a good week to spend time with the horses!

Heartview Cando offers Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) horse therapy for clients receiving substance use treatment. Unlike traditional equine therapy, EAGALA does not involve riding horses but instead focuses on building relationships between clients, horses, and facilitators. Research has shown that participants in equine therapy remain in treatment longer and report greater self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and enhanced recovery skills.
