🏋️‍♂️💪 Why we love Functional Training (and why you should too!)

Ever wonder why your trainer has you doing squats, carries, and rotational movements instead of just using standard gym machines? It's called Functional Training, and it's designed to mirror the movements you use in everyday life!

Training functionally helps you build a strong foundation by targeting multiple muscle groups at once.

The Everyday Benefits:
1️⃣ Improves posture and balance to protect your joints.
2️⃣ Builds core strength that makes lifting heavy grocery bags or doing yard work easier.
3️⃣ Prevents injuries by training your muscles to work together seamlessly.

Next time you're on the fitness floor, ask one of our trainers how to add some functional movements to your routine!

❤️ Friday Fit Tip: The 5-Minute Warm-Up Reset ❤️

Kick off National Safety Month by protecting your muscles before you push them! Skipping your warm-up is one of the quickest ways to sideline your fitness goals with a preventable injury.

Your Tip: Dedicate just 5 minutes before your workout to dynamic movements, like bodyweight squats, arm circles, and leg swings, rather than static stretching. Dynamic stretching wakes up your nervous system, increases blood flow, and prepares your joints for the work ahead. Save the static holds for your cool-down!
