Investing in our people means investing in our future.

Recently, leaders from across Chadron Hospital gathered at Chadron State College for a Leadership Retreat focused on strengthening communication, building trust, developing future leaders, and creating a culture where employees can thrive.

Throughout the day, our team participated in discussions and activities centered around teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, psychological safety, and high-performing teams. We explored what great leadership looks like, how to navigate crucial conversations, and how strong communication helps us better support one another across departments and facilities.

A special thank you to Chadron State College staff members Dr. French-Collins and Dr. Forsha for sharing their expertise and helping guide meaningful conversations that challenged us to think differently, learn from one another, and grow as leaders.

One theme emerged again and again: strong organizations are built on trust, communication, respect, accountability, and a shared purpose.

While these conversations focused on leadership, their impact reaches every corner of our organization. By investing in our leaders, we strengthen our teams, enhance collaboration, and ultimately improve the care and service we provide to our patients, residents, clients, families, and communities.

Thank you to Chadron State College for hosting us and helping make this day possible.

Family Health & Fitness Day: Celebrating Healthy Families and Active Lifestyles πŸ’™

At Chadron Hospital, we know that staying healthy isn’t just about doctor visitsβ€”it’s about the everyday choices we make with the people we love.

For Family Health & Fitness Day, we invited our team members to share how they stay active with their families, and their stories remind us that fitness comes in many forms. From hiking trails and beach walks to zip lining through the mountains, participating in youth sports, and honoring loved ones through community events, every activity contributes to healthier lives and stronger family connections.

Nichole and her family enjoy hiking, kayaking, and biking with their dog, Sammy, who keeps everyone motivated to get outdoors and stay active. Skip and Jo-Anne shared a favorite memory walking together along Oahu’s North Shore. Jacci and her family embraced adventure while hiking and zip lining in the Canadian Rockies.

For April and her family, staying active means participating in bull riding, soccer, baseball, softball, and wrestling. Each Mother’s Day, they also participate in a 5K in memory of Kaylie Rose Canaday. Through sports, outdoor activities, and time spent together, they continue creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Arista shared a family outing walking around a lake in Estes Park, Colorado, proving that sometimes the best way to stay active is simply spending time together outdoors.

Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, cheering from the sidelines, exploring a new trail, or taking on a new adventure, every step counts toward better physical and mental health. The most important thing is finding ways to move, connect, and make memories together.

How does your family stay active together? We’d love to hear in the comments!

🩻 Happy CT Tech Week to our incredible CT team at Chadron Hospital! πŸ’™

This week, we celebrate the skilled professionals behind the scans who play a critical role in patient care every single day. From emergency situations and trauma cases to detecting illness and helping providers make fast, accurate diagnoses, our CT technologists are an essential part of healthcare in our community.

In a rural critical access hospital like Chadron Hospital, CT services are especially important. Having advanced imaging available close to home means patients can receive timely care without the stress, delay, or expense of traveling long distances. Whether it’s helping evaluate strokes, injuries, infections, internal bleeding, or other serious conditions, our CT team helps provide answers when they matter most.

Their knowledge, compassion, attention to detail, and commitment to patient comfort make a difference for patients and families across our region every day.

Thank you Delaney, Jodi, Jessica, Justin, Abigail, Kerri, and Sarah for the care you provide and for all you do to support our patients, providers, and community. We appreciate you! πŸ‘
