Eventually her hometown school became a glass ceiling as far as classes in the sciences. She applied to and attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. This school opened up many new doors for her and a plethora of learning experiences. It is also where she decided she wanted to be a doctor one day. After attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), she
had a diverging path of what type of doctor best suited her personality and where she would feel the most helpful. One of her family members always told her how wonderful her chiropractor was, and how all of the healing was accomplished without medication! This was exciting for Dr. Staten because she was already interested in a more holistic approach to healing and staying healthy. With this in mind, she decided to go to Life University School of Chiropractic and pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She hasn’t looked back since!!! Dr. Staten’s primary goal in her almost 20 years of practice is helping as many people as possible live healthier and happier lives with a holistic approach. This is the primary reason Dr. Staten decided to merge with Ballantyne Chiropractic Wellness. The fact that Ballantyne Chiropractic Wellness is a center to connect the structure, function and chemistry of the person, makes it indeed a wellness practice. We also work hand in hand with medical practitioners in an attempt to deliver a higher level of care to our patients. Dr. Staten presently lives in Indian Land, SC and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband Enoch, sons Josh and Jon and daughter Talia. She also practices what she preaches in that she receives regular chiropractic adjustments to be able to handle her job and stay healthy.
