Integration Station Pediatric Therapy Services Maximizing Your Child's Potential through occupational therapy services, camps and enrichment groups.

Having a child is the most rewarding blessing one can receive. Naturally, we want nothing but the best for our children and do all we can to encourage their growth and development. Sometimes, kids develop differently and have trouble paying attention, have difficulty listening, have a hard time making friends, and have trouble writing -- among other concerns. These developmental issues are often a result of sensory integration dysfunction, or SID. SID is when the brain inaccurately processes and interprets sensory inputs. Ensuring a child meets developmental milestones sets them up for successful participation in routines common for children their age like going to school, eating meals, taking a bath, and making friends. Integration Station is well equipped to help families experiencing neurological, genetic, and developmental disorders. Through individualized treatment planning and home programming, families will gain tools to help their child along the journey towards success.

🌟What is a sensory diet? 🌟

A sensory diet is a personalized set of activities and strategies that provides the sensory input a child needs throughout their day. Just like our bodies need food at different times, our sensory systems may benefit from different types of input to help us feel organized and ready to learn!

A sensory diet may include movement, heavy work, deep pressure, tactile play, or calming activities depending on your child’s individual sensory needs. 💪🛝🫧

We can help identify which types of sensory input support your child and develop strategies to promote regulation, attention, and participation in everyday routines. 💛
