Sometimes healing doesn't feel like healing. It feels like exhaustion. Like crying more than you used to. Like finally feeling things you kept locked away for years. You recognize your patterns now. If someone you love is struggling this Mental Health Awareness Month, you don't need perfect words. You just need to show up.

The things we say in those moments matter more than we realize. "Just think positive" and "other people have it worse" can make someone feel more alone than before they spoke up.

What actually helps? Presence. Patience. And the simple courage to stay without trying to fix everything.
