Introducing the Constructed Awareness® Clinician Community!

Have you completed Constructed Awareness® training and wished you could stay connected with the clinicians you met along the way?
We're pleased to introduce a new space for continued learning, clinical conversation, and professional connection.

The Constructed Awareness® Clinician Community is a private Facebook group welcoming mental health professionals beginning with CA Level 1 training and beyond.

Within the group, clinicians can:
• Reconnect with their training cohorts and stay connected between training weekends
• Share questions, reflections, and clinical insights
• Explore research and professional resources
• Exchange referrals and connect with colleagues across training levels
• Continue exploring the integration of CA into clinical practice

This is a community-led space, shaped by the curiosity and contributions of its members. There's no expectation to participate regularly, and everyone is welcome to engage at their own pace.

Whether you're currently participating in Level 1 or have been integrating Constructed Awareness® into your clinical work for years, we'd love to welcome you.

Constructed Awareness® Level 2: Reconstructing Traumatic Memories

Our next Level 2 training begins this Friday, October 23!

Building on the foundational principles of Constructed Awareness® Level 1, this interactive four-day training with Tyler Orr, PhD, LPC explores an approach to trauma processing grounded in awareness and memory reconsolidation research.

Participants will explore techniques for supporting clients in reconstructing developmental and single-event traumatic memories, including:

• A step-by-step approach to trauma processing informed by memory reconsolidation research
• The Attachment Bridge technique for identifying early experiences contributing to present symptoms
• Working with awareness of thoughts, bodily sensations, and external cues throughout trauma processing
• Recognizing how client orientation styles may influence responses during processing

EMDR Training for Therapists | Integrating Constructed Awareness®

Back by popular request!

How might greater awareness of thoughts, bodily sensations, and external stimuli support your work with clients throughout EMDR therapy?

We're pleased to offer another opportunity for therapists and mental health professionals to explore this question through What Are You Noticing Now? Integrating EMDR and Constructed Awareness®.

Led by Tyler Orr, PhD, LPC/MHSP, this interactive two-day training explores how Constructed Awareness® can be integrated throughout all eight phases of EMDR.

Through demonstrations, discussion, and practical applications, clinicians will explore ways to support history taking, preparation, reprocessing, and therapeutic responsiveness.

Grounded in mindfulness, nonviolence, and direct awareness of experience, this workshop also provides an introduction to Constructed Awareness® for clinicians unfamiliar with the approach.

Ethical practice involves more than knowing professional codes and standards.

We’re pleased to introduce a new course from Tyler Orr, PhD, LPC, creator of Constructed Awareness®: Ethical Practice Through Deeper Awareness

Ethical decision-making requires ongoing awareness of how therapists’ assumptions, reactions, values, and internal experiences influence the therapeutic process.

This training explores ethical practice through the lens of Constructed Awareness® (CA), integrating Kitchener’s Five Moral Principles, Ron Kurtz’s concept of nonviolence, and contemporary understandings of countertransference.

Across 14 lessons, participants explore professional codes of ethics, the principles of Constructed Awareness, nonviolence as an ethical stance, countertransference and therapist awareness, and ways CA can be used to enhance awareness of countertransference. The course also includes two panel discussions focused on nonviolence in clinical practice and awareness of countertransference.

Participants will examine how increasing therapist awareness can reduce ethical risk, strengthen therapeutic relationships, and support ethical practice.

The course includes approximately 3 hours of video content and 3 NBCC and ASWB CE credits, with unlimited lifetime access for a one-time cost of $59.

Ethical Practice Through Deeper Awareness is available now.
