Today, Hamilton County EMS joins our nation in solemn remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Twenty-five years have passed, but we have not forgotten the 2,977 lives lost, including the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, and other first responders who answered the call that morning—many making the ultimate sacrifice while trying to save others.

We remember the courage displayed in the face of unimaginable tragedy. We remember the families whose lives were forever changed. And we honor those who continued to serve in the days, months, and years that followed, many suffering lasting effects from their service at Ground Zero.

For those of us in emergency services, September 11 remains a powerful reminder of what it means to answer the call—to run toward those who need us when others are running away.

On this 25th anniversary, the men and women of Hamilton County EMS pause to remember, honor, and reflect.

May we never forget September 11, 2001.

343 Firefighters.
37 Port Authority Police Officers.
23 NYPD Officers.
8 EMS Professionals.
And thousands of innocent lives.

We will never forget.
