Have You Received Your Medicare Annual Notice of Change Yet? 📬

If you have a Medicare Advantage or standalone Part D plan, your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) explains what's changing for 2027—including premiums, drug costs, copays, and benefits. You should receive your ANOC letter by the end of September, if you haven't received it yet.

During AEP (October 15–December 7), I can help you review your ANOC and compare your 2027 options from all carriers in New Jersey. There is no cost for my assistance.

If you have questions about your ANOC or want to review plan options, you can contact me at 609-934-4849.

You may have seen recent news articles about Medicare Part D subsidies ending and what that could mean for prescription drug plan premiums in 2027.

One important thing to know is that these changes apply to stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans (PDPs)—not Medicare Advantage plans that include prescription drug coverage.

The temporary subsidies helped keep many stand-alone Part D plan premiums lower over the past few years. As those subsidies come to an end, some plans are increasing premiums, changing benefits, or leaving certain markets.

I wanted to share this because there's been a lot of confusion around these headlines. As more 2027 Medicare information becomes available, understanding what's behind these changes can help make the news a little easier to follow.

If you have any questions about your Medicare plan options, you can contact me at 609-934-4849.

If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family be financially okay?

It’s a difficult question—and one most of us would rather not think about.

But life insurance isn’t really about you. It’s about the people you love and making sure they’re protected if you’re no longer there to protect them.

I help individuals and families find life insurance coverage that fits their needs and budget. I work with multiple insurance companies, so I can help you compare your options instead of trying to fit you into a one-size-fits-all policy.

Whether you’re protecting your family’s income, your mortgage, your children’s future, or simply making sure your loved ones aren’t left with a financial burden, I’m here to help.

If you’ve been putting off getting life insurance, or you’re not sure if you have enough coverage, you can contact me at 609-934-4849 or send me a message. Let’s have a conversation now—before your family ever has to worry about it.

Over the past few weeks, I've spoken with several people who were surprised to see their Medicare Supplement (Medigap) premiums increase significantly.
I know that every extra dollar matters, especially when you're on a fixed income. If your monthly premium has gone up, I'd love the opportunity to see if I can help you lower your costs.
As an independent insurance agent, I can compare plans from all carriers in New Jersey to see if there's a more affordable option that still provides the coverage you need.
If you've received a rate increase—or it's been a while since you've reviewed your Medigap plan—please reach out. Even a small monthly savings can make a difference over the course of a year, and I'm always happy to see if I can help.

Medicare Beneficiaries May Soon Have Access to GLP-1 Medications for Just $50 Per Month

A significant change is coming for Medicare beneficiaries who have struggled with the high cost of weight-loss medications.

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will launch the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a demonstration program that will allow eligible Medicare beneficiaries to access certain GLP-1 medications for a flat $50 monthly copay.

GLP-1 medications, such as Wegovy and Zepbound, have gained national attention for helping individuals lose weight and improve their overall health. However, these medications have often been out of reach for many Medicare beneficiaries due to costs that can exceed $1,000 per month.

Who May Qualify?

To be eligible for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, beneficiaries must:

Be enrolled in a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.
Meet specific clinical criteria established by CMS.
Obtain a prescription and prior authorization from their healthcare provider.

In general, the program is designed for beneficiaries seeking treatment for obesity or weight management. Those already receiving GLP-1 medications for conditions currently covered by Medicare, such as Type 2 diabetes, certain cardiovascular conditions, sleep apnea, or MASH, will continue receiving coverage through their existing Part D benefits rather than through this demonstration program.

Why This Matters

Obesity is linked to numerous health conditions, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and reduced mobility. By making these medications more affordable, CMS hopes to improve access to evidence-based treatments that can help beneficiaries achieve better long-term health outcomes.

For many seniors, this could be a life-changing opportunity. Instead of choosing between their budget and their health goals, eligible beneficiaries may soon have access to treatment at a predictable and affordable monthly cost.

What Should Medicare Beneficiaries Do Now?

If you think you may benefit from a GLP-1 medication, now is a good time to:

Speak with your physician about whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate for you.
Review your Medicare Part D coverage.
Stay informed as CMS releases additional details about enrollment and prior authorization requirements before the July 1 launch.
