The opening date of the Summer Fun Program is next Monday, June 8! ⚽️🏓🎨

The program will take place at Chesterton Park Monday through Friday from 10 am - 2 pm through July 31. The program will not meet the week of June 29 due to the holiday.

Participants can register in person at our "Meet the Staff" nights at Chesterton Park scheduled for Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2 from 6 - 7 pm each night. Participants can also register at the park anytime during the program's hours once it begins. We're looking forward to another great summer! 😎☀️

Graduation season is upon us!

💙 Autism Elopement Safety Kits 💙

We understand that for many families, wandering and elopement can be one of the most stressful and frightening safety concerns. You are not alone in this.

Families in Porter, LaPorte, Pulaski, Jasper, Newton, Benton, and Starke Counties may be eligible to receive Autism Elopement Safety Kits designed to support autistic children who may be at risk for wandering.

These kits are created with care to help families feel more supported, prepared, and confident in everyday safety.

🧩 Kit includes:
• Elopement prevention tip fact sheet
• Exterior door locks
• Window/door alarms
• Tile tracking device with holder
• Social story and visual aids

Every family’s journey is different, and we recognize the love, strength, and constant awareness it takes to keep a child safe. Our hope is to offer tools that bring a little more peace of mind and support along the way. 💙

Once you have figured out your child's sensory triggers, it's important to have a plan on how to help them through the sensory overload.

Even knowing all the triggers doesn't mean you can eliminate all sensory overload.

But having a plan for how to work through it can be the difference between being overwhelmed at that moment and working towards regulation and calm.
