It’s getting harder as technology continues to evolve to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s AI, so we decided to see if I could spot the differences as someone who stares at faces all day.

If there’s one thing I would recommend for my face and neck patients post-procedure, it’s hilotherapy.

Ice can be inconsistent, temperatures rising and falling, while hilotherapy devices allow for a consistent cooling that can aid in your healing and reduce swelling and pain.

We’re nearly to the start of summer, and taking advantage of the cooler weather and cloud cover to avoid UV rays while you’re healing is always recommended. Plus, it means your skin will be looking radiant by the time you’re heading out for a day on the boat!

The old saying goes that doctors make the worst patients, but Patient T was nothing short of a delight to work with. It’s always an honor when someone who understands the anatomy asks me to work on them. That said, I’m excited to introduce our newest series, Patient T!

Patient T is an anesthesiologist who flew all the way to Chicago to come see me. He has read all of my scientific articles, so he really understands and appreciates the 5 layer neck.

In episode one, we go through our consultation where we discuss revising the eyes, the neck, the face, etc. Next episode, I will go more in depth on the specific surgical techniques. Be sure to stay tuned in next Friday!

I tried Botox for the first time!

I held off for a long time because I thought I didn’t need it. And I wasn’t strictly wrong. No one NEEDS Botox, but I’ve found that I very much enjoy having it, I like the outcome. Plus, Botox is a great first step into facial treatments, as it typically wears off within 3-4 months. If you feel like you want more movement than you had, you want to try a different neuromodulator like Dysport, or want to try a different placement, your results aren’t permanent, and you can always try something new.

As most of you know by now, I recently went to Japan!

So many things stood out to me while I was there, such as the local diet (check out my blog for more on that). One factor I believe makes their food so delicious is the tools they use.

The knives in Japan are so sharp they actually glide between cells, making each cut incredibly precise. I apply this same logic during my surgeries by using ultra-precise tools to ensure near-perfect outcomes.
