OK, here’s the one procedure. I do in full face rejuvenation where I get the most pause….

It’s hairline lowering. But, honestly, it can be majorly impactful. As we get older, it’s natural for some of our female patients forehead to get larger. This can also happen with a brow lift so you can make something that’s just borderline not OK completely unacceptable.

Hairline lowering can solve this. By just moving the hair down 1-4 cm, you can make a major impact on how you look at the face in the face shape.

Here’s the real question, why do patients fear it? It’s the scar!

I minimize this by using some of the finest sutures, allowing the hair to grow through the scar, and having the ultimate backup plan.. Dr Sameea. She has the ability to put hairs in front of the car if we don’t like it. And thankfully, it’s fairly rare that we have to do that. Some patient actually do prefer to do that and get their hairline even lower. They’ll even do their brows, just like I did.

So, even at a month a lot of my patients are already happy with their hair line lowering.

There’s not a lot of age rejuvenation specialist who do this, or at least do this well so it’s another one of those parts that make everything important to make a face look younger. It’s a detail that’s important!!!

The Swan has reached its 20 year conclusion, and in many ways, it was definitely ahead of its time, though it was also very controversial when it first aired.

With the new documentary out, here is my take on it:

1. Contestants over Patients: The participants were treated far too much like contestants rather than actual patients.

2. Questionable Support Staff: Some of the team members, like the life coach, trainer, and even some of the dental work, seemed less qualified, and the outcomes reflected that.

3. Outdated Techniques and Experience: Plastic surgery in 2003 hadn’t evolved yet, and results weren’t durable. This was clear in the 20 year follow up. While patients looked great for the cameras initially, the techniques simply weren’t built to last, though those surgeons have since evolved and gone on to do great things.

4. Why It Matters to Me: This is especially relevant right now, as I might be chosen for a similar show soon.

The biggest takeaway? As a surgeon, you must always remember that no matter the setting, you are treating a patient, not a contestant. At the end of the day, they deserve your full respect and dignity.

I want you to meet one of my lovely patients who had mild sleep apnea and wanted to rejuvenate her face.

She did not see me for sleep apnea. She saw me because she wanted to look better. But this is one of the side benefits that not all, but many of my patients experience afterwards. They function better as a human and that’s because the anatomy has been changed.

This is one of the procedures that I do that no one else does in the world until I introduced it at the American Academy Official Plastic Surgery in 2026.

There are lots of questions about GLP-1s right now. Even though they have been on the market for decades, there is a side effect you need to know about: NAION. It can affect vision in a small percentage of patients. It’s not fully established, but it is important to know what to look out for if you are taking this or planning to.
I love discussing the nuances of GLP-1s with established reporters, like Hena Doba at NewsNation, who are always so thorough.

One of my promises is a new technique I developed for how I release the hyoid. It is the only technique that I know of that actually helps patients function better, aside from making them look better.

Let’s get this straight: most of my patients see me because they want to look better, and I believe this does the best job at that.

However, a side benefit I am noticing is that my patients get better deep sleep, which is also known as stage 3 sleep. This is the most important sleep phase, providing the restorative sleep that helps them function better.

Ultimately, my mission is not just to make patients look better, but to help them function better as human beings.

spontaneous compliments after rhinoplasty.

There’s levels to it. Looking natural is kind of the baseline. But did you know there’s another level - spontaneous compliments. Some person randomly goes up to you and says “I love your nose.” To take a body part that makes you insecure and then make it get this. Wow!!

I almost died. Well, actually, it is a 1 in 200 chance for me specifically, while complicated pyelonephritis is about a 10% chance for men.

It is really hard to tell the difference between simple and complex in medicine. This is true for my case and for plastic surgery as a whole.

Many things that look simple are not quite simple, because unless you have the requisite experience, you are not seeing all of the details.

If you are getting treated, go to an expert. Just like I needed an expert for my pyelonephritis, patients seeking nose and neck procedures should seek out someone with the requisite expertise. Otherwise, what looks like a simple case will ultimately turn into something extremely complicated.
