Join Kate in this practice of returning once again as summer comes to a close and the pace of life begins to shift. 🍂

Return to your body.
Return to your breath.
Return to the practice that meets you exactly where you are.
And return to community!

Across this three week series, we’ll explore the practice of yoga from the inside out; bringing together yogic philosophy, breath, meditation, self-reflection, and physical asana.

Each class will offer an opportunity to move with intention, explore teachings from the yoga tradition, and consider how the practice on our mats can meet us in our lives off the mat.

Expect creative, purposeful movement, moments of stillness and reflection, accessible yogic teachings, and plenty of space to feel, breathe, and connect.

Tag a friend and begin again together!

October 18, 25, and November 1 1-3p Chicago

✨ Happy Teacher Tuesday! ✨

This week, we’re celebrating and re-introducing Paige Loczi of yogaview Wilmette! 💛

With a background in dance and interior architecture, Paige brings a unique perspective to her teaching, blending a dancer’s sensibility with a designer’s eye. Her classes invite students to explore rhythm, breath, alignment, transitions, and the expressive geometry of the body—creating space for both strength and softness.

You can practice with Paige in Level 1/2/3 Vinyasa, VIN/YIN, Core Conditioning, YIN, and Yoga Nidra.

When asked what she hopes students carry away from her classes, Paige shared:

"I hope students leave feeling more grounded, spacious, and connected to themselves. More than accomplishing a pose, I hope they carry a renewed capacity to listen inwardly, breathe through what is present, and move through the rest of their day with greater ease."

Paige is also excited to teach Weekend Wind-Down: Slow Flow + Yin on Sundays—a 75-minute class designed to help you unwind the weekend and enter the week ahead with grounded spaciousness. The practice will evolve seasonally, blending mindful vinyasa with longer, nourishing Yin holds. 🌿

And this fall, Paige is hosting a retreat at Red Clover Ranch, October 23–25—an opportunity to step away from daily rhythms, reconnect with nature and community, and deepen into restorative movement, reflection, and renewal. Through creative containers, seasonal ritual, and intentional reflection, the retreat will honor the turning of the season and invite us to consider what we hope to cultivate in the coming year. ✨

Make sure to follow Paige:

And come practice with her at yogaview Wilmette! 🧘‍♀️

📍 Tuesdays at 4:30 PM — All Levels
📍 Wednesdays at 6:00 PM — VIN/YIN
📍 Sundays at 4:00 PM — Weekend Wind-Down: Slow Flow + Yin

✨ TEACHER FEATURE: ERIN BRAMMER ✨

This week, we’re shining a light on Erin Brammer, one of our wonderful teachers at yogaview Chicago. 🧘‍♀️

🌿 A little piece of Erin’s story:

Erin actually has two chapters of teaching yoga in her life.

She first began teaching in 1995 in Humboldt County, California, when her teacher at Heartwood Institute asked her to start subbing classes. At a time when yoga studios and formal teacher trainings were much less common, her entry into teaching was more like an apprenticeship.

After teaching for several years, life took her in other directions. Nearly 30 years later, Erin returned to teaching after completing yogaview’s teacher training.

There’s something pretty special about coming back to something you loved in your twenties with nearly three decades of life experience behind you. ❤️

Q&A with Erin:

1. What is a unique quality of your teaching style?

As a naturally hypermobile person, my teaching is strongly informed by my experience working through my own yoga-related injuries. I spent the first half of my yoga journey going as deeply as my body would allow, while viewing strengthening work as an excellent time for a bathroom break. 😂

Over the decades—and after endless hours of physical therapy—I’ve learned the hard way that a sustainable practice means prioritizing strength and stability, trusting what I feel in my own body, and recognizing when to pull back.

That’s become a big part of how I teach: emphasizing strength and endurance just as much as flexibility.

2. Where do you find inspiration?

My experience working in the arts has influenced the way I think about yoga. There’s an idea in art that you learn the fundamentals first, and once you understand them, you can intelligently break the rules. I’ve come to approach yoga in much the same way.

I love experimenting with subtle changes in weight distribution, muscular engagement, attention, and gaze, and noticing how dramatically they can affect the experience of a pose.

I’m also very visual in my practice and often imagine supportive energetic structures around my body to help me find balance, space, and connection.

3. What do you hope your students carry away from your class?

I hope students leave with a sense of curiosity and ownership in their practice.

I want them to feel comfortable asking, “What happens if I do it this way?” and develop the skill of paying attention to how a pose feels rather than judging it primarily by how it looks.

A yoga teacher can offer structure and guidance, but developing discernment helps us understand how to apply that guidance to the bodies we’re actually living in.

And as a bonus, I’d love it if students cultivate a little enthusiasm for using props—especially blocks—to find more space and connection in a pose! 🧱✨
